Randi is the star of her "universe," which is why I just put Randi. The poll choice covers Randi and all of her adventures and side characters (such as Dave, her mom, Daisy, Sandi, Aunt Barbara, schoolmates, etc). The way I first envisioned Randi was for each of her appearances to be a short story in itself. With one scene but a good chunk of text for set up and explanation. So, in a way, Randi has the most stories. :)

2018-01-20 18:25:33 +0000 UTCit's notable that Randi is the only single character in the ranking, the others are collective stories. She deserves much more stories :-)

2018-01-05 09:42:20 +0000 UTCGot it. Your methodology is character, environment, story. Makes sense. I guess some stories can be built and some need cultivation. Good for us you do what you do. Thank you.

2018-01-05 09:36:30 +0000 UTCI am totally curious about "something new", but I think that option gets knocked down in the list because we already like the existing comics since we give money monthly to help create them. Because of this inherent bias in the existing poll, there may be a different way to gauge the community's interest in something new. Maybe have a 2-3 option poll that says something like, "on a scale of 1-5" how interested are you in ; a) more episodes of existing comics (score 1 to 5) b) something new based on existing comics or ancillary characters of existing comics (score 1 to 5) c) something new unrelated to existing comics or characters (score 1 to 5) This way, it's not a winner take all, but more of a "sense of the room". Okay, enough deep thinking. Back to the cool comics!

2018-01-05 09:14:47 +0000 UTCI'm definitely eager to continue expanding the world of LFM and The Book Club. If I introduce new comics into the mix, I do not expect them to be ongoing concerns like LFM, Book Club or Double D. They will most likely be self contained things that I'll probably put into the "bonus comic" slot, which currently only updates monthly.

2018-01-05 07:20:15 +0000 UTCYeah, the numbers shown are the average of the rankings given. So a lower number means more people have rated them closer to #1. I'm not sure about he concept. They way I do comics is a little odd. I tend to build characters and then start to build a world around them, then find scenarios that they would encounter within that world. The concept seems to be built largely off of racial lines, which really isn't a thing I tend to prioritize in my storytelling. I generally try not to boil characters down based on race.

2018-01-05 07:18:21 +0000 UTCMy bad. I guess I was reading it backwards. I thought the higher the number the more it had been voted on. SORRY. Still, what did you think of my suggestion? Good, bad, ugly, shut tell hell up I'm crazy or that's the worst idea I've ever heard?

2018-01-04 22:56:16 +0000 UTCYeah book club has a solid lead. But I personally would have like to see the mercenaries story continued and develop a little more before new comics. But its kar choice on if that is what he wants to do with his creations

2018-01-04 18:58:12 +0000 UTCUmmm... the "Something New" Option is pretty solidly in last place.

2018-01-04 17:44:23 +0000 UTCHmm, so far looks like folks want something new. I for one enjoy Randi n Dave, but I also enjoy the DD n the Book Club. So if you do consider something new, might I suggest a story with an Oriental family, with the token white folks, living in a middle to high income black neighborhood. Sort of a reverse MILFs where they work for/or with the black folks. Just a thought that's been in my head. Thanks for the great comics.
