I've had this comic lying around for years, I see it every time I flip through my ideas folder. I've never committed and made it into a full comic because I don't think it really means anything, haha. Maybe that's meta enough to make it interesting? I'm not convinced.
The thing about keeping vague ideas around forever is that I lose what my intention was when I first thought of it. I think I may have been toying with instances of obvious metaphor going over people's heads / those old school political newspaper comics where every object is labeled as the thing it is meant to represent, which I always found so endearingly silly.
Original speech bubble for panel 4 was "metaphor", which makes even less sense?

2022-11-20 21:41:44 +0000 UTCsomehow this speaks to me - maybe after a cup of coffee i'll actually have words to describe the thoughts.... along the lines of: the birds in these comics are usually unaware of the message, they are just the vehicle for it. so, maybe, this one is so simple it's absurdly poignant. maybe i should just eat some moldy berries and fly around in circles...
