I get what you’re saying. Grooming implies intent and we don’t know for sure there was any. Either way, I think the relationship between Rose and OP needs to be over and the family should cut her off. Whether it was true grooming or not, it’s an unhealthy dynamic and at the end of the day that’s what matters.

I also wonder if there is some abuse in Rose’s past (specifically by her father) that created an unhealthy thinking pattern. Sexual preference can be linked to trauma in some cases. Rose should talk to a therapist before trying to get in another relationship. OP really should as well because this situation is devastating.

It's disturbing and inappropriate, but we don't know for sure if she was grooming her. Maybe they were just spending time together like sisters, going out and doing things. It's disturbing that she developed feelings when the girl turned 16, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was grooming. If it was grooming, would the fiancé have told her about it? Grooming usually involves getting into a relationship with the child, so let's not assume things without all the evidence.

I never even considered that someone who frequently gives gifts and spends time might have disgusting motives. Even though I was feeling bad for wanting to cancel it after one month. But then hearing you say that just made me really happy. Which really just highlights the reasons why you (Morgan) and this podcast is one of my favourite parts of the week ❤️

I know it is difficult to change your feelings quickly but this needs to be handled with extreme care and while I feel bad for OP, Aru needs to be at the forefront of this and handled with the most care so she isn’t pushed towards Rose and understands this isn’t okay.

If you're upset about a stance, it's OK if you let it out but just keep in mind that there are real ppl involved here. Morgan has always been incredibly receptive to criticism and has a pretty fierce dedication to learning and being kind. Morgan, this was a take where you were pretty clearly on the side of the victim here imo, but you should also keep in mind that ANYTHING you say on certain topics can be hella triggering. There's literally no way to discuss in any detail SA/grooming without it triggering someone. That doesn't mean we shouldn't take the feedback to try to learn, do better and speak with greater kindness as best we can, as you usually do ❤️

Fuck the fiancée, she is fully a predator and the family AND her fiancées mom need to know why it is called off. That behavior is wildly concerning.

I love your show and I love listening to your takes, that part just rubbed me the wrong way, I think that clarification was needed so thank you for providing it. I think it mainly bothered me because I know that's not normally how you view things, it's one of the many reasons I always look forward to your videos

As someone with ADHD it's hard to convey my thoughts when people interrupt me, and I was in the middle of trying to sort my thoughts out loud. I was trying to get across the point that I later say that even if Aru did initiate something it would not be her fault but rather Rose's for conveying its appropriate for it to happen. It would not be on this child at all.
