We cried together, talked through everything together, and I couldn't imagine thinking less of him when something triggers that grief. It is so painful to see my partner in that place and I can't believe OPs wife not only didn't help him through this; but thought less of him for his grief. This woman is truly lacking empathy and either needs serious therapy or to be out of his life.

Home should be your safe space. Which really, is more the people you consider family, than a physical place. And she just shattered that safety and trust. I feel especially bad since it’s not the cultural norm to show emotions and he actually allowed himself to break down that wall and then got humiliated by his wife, her friend and his own mother. Sad.
