She said her mom would not tolerate this behavior. Since mom has been on brother and Jessica’s side, OPs brother may be more open to her opinion rather than OPs after she has been openly not accepting of the relationship

And in reality, you know you would too. Not sure this is the time to double down on a ”you made a commitment” argument. If you were in this position I have a very hard time believing you would “stick it out” as you say.

And if anyone asks why, she can show them the "rules" and say she is unable to follow the parameters set by the bride. I don't think she was off/wrong for saying she would be on the bride side with alterier motives. She wanted to see if maybe the fiancee had changed for the better or not. And she got her answer. A definite NOT.
