Disaster Report

So I thought, with Day 11 being... well, Day 11, I might as well keep you all posted on just how that clusterfuck is progressing. So, I will do daily Day 11 Progress Reports (appropriately titled Disaster Reports) until this fucking thing is finished.

So, tonight's disaster report! I managed to get through that one particularly hairy dialogue section I was having troubles getting right. Never mind that it was my fourth attempt that we went with and that that attempt is still subject to approval from the rest of the team, but I feel like the current version does what it was intended to do well, all the while not disrupting the day or derailing the mood. So that's a success!

And there's more good news too! To be honest, I wasn't really sure about what I was doing with that other scene later on. It's like I said, I had a vague idea of where I wanted to go with it, but did not know the exact details on how that would transpire. But sometimes, the best ideas are just waiting to burst forth from the words as you write them. I began writing something out as a sort of baseline for the scene, and from that, inspiration struck! We have a plan and boy is it a doozy! Just when you thought my ideas couldn't get any fucking weirder I go and pull this shit! No spoilers, but you'll definitely see what I mean when you get there!

So, right now? Let's say 65%. There's a section that still needs to be written to work in that new idea, and some adjustments to the scene that follows it so help them fit together seamlessly and to take advantage of the utter lunacy of the shit that I am writing. After that, it's the home stretch! The rest of the day probably will not require massive work to get right, but will likely still get a first class makeover to bring them up to standard!
