I said you could look forward to a bunny comic this past weekend, but it's taking longer to paint the bunny than expected! Josh spent all day on it today (and a bunch during the weekend too) and I think he's just really enjoying painting a million different little lines. He drew this one bigger than his usual comics just so he could spend more time on the art.
So, I thought I'd give you an update on how the painting is going :) I think he's doing a great job on the hair, this bunny is adorable and so fluffy already!

Breathing in that nice crisp spring air!
This is what he's using to paint, by the way: diluted gouache and watercolours in a big butcher's tray with a very fine paintbrush. Lines and lines and lines and more lines.

He doesn't actually scrub it clean very often - perhaps once or twice a year - as the colours can be reused again and again and again. So this is pretty much the palette he works with for every comic.
By the way, would you be interested in watching him draw/paint live? I've been looking into what it would take to set him up to draw on a live stream on Twitch. We were thinking something like: open to all to watch, and he'd draw patrons suggestions, for example. What do you think?
Have a nice week everyone!
