Side note- botanical sexism and global warming is to blame for allergies getting worse. Warmer weather= longer growing seasons. Landscapers in US notoriously plant male trees which produce pollen. Female trees are avoided because they drop βlitterβ seeds and fruits. Males do not produce this litter. however they do produce pollen. If there were more female trees and plants they would help absorb that pollen. Alas- it has nowhere to go and its abundance irritates us instead.
