To the people who leaked my content
Added 2022-12-31 18:30:21 +0000 UTCThank you so much, it makes me SO happy to keep sharing knowing that you think my work is not worth of any respect.
It's not about the money, you can see how many patrons I have, you know I don't make much (even less if you consider patreon commissions) and those of you who's been following me for a bit know that it's not rare for me to share free posepacks, like the christmas one, or halloween one (family posepack by the way: the ones most wanted and most requested).
So I hope you'll understand that really it's not about money, but about respecting my work and my terms of use. You're not required to pay, you can simply wait 3 weeks. I have never missed a release date. The site has a simple option for that and anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. You set the "release to public" date when you create the post itself.
I know a lot of people will say: "you should enjoy creating blah blah etc etc", a lot was said in august, when EA updated their rules regarding cc. I've heard and read everything when the most loud part of the community turned against all creators as if we all were criminals.
Yes I do enjoy creating and I would create even if I didn't share. But there is a lot of extra work if you share.
Because, you see, if I create for myself only, I don't need previews, I don't need thumbnails or descriptions, I don't need the packages to be convenient to use, because I made them and I know what's inside them.
So everything that's not the pose itself, I do so other people can enjoy my content too. And it really takes A LOT of time (also it's boring as hell). Time I could spend doing anything else in my life.
I could simply release the package as I use it myself, with no previews, no explaining titles, no photos, and let you have fun finding out what it is. Surprise packs! Would you prefer that? I don't think so.
You know, I always try to find the right way to make my content easy to use to anyone, because I'm a storyteller myself and I know the struggle of using posepacks with no descriptions and thumbnails. And I know that what is convenient to me, may not be to others, so I always try to do something that I hope will work for everyone, as well as I'm always open to feedback regarding this matter. "Help me help you."
This is extra work. It feels right to do it, but I'm human, you know, not a martyr and not a saint.
This is why seeing people leak content that's going to be free in 2 weeks is really disappointing. Because you, as a leaker, are saying that all this doesn't count. You don't appreciate all the work behind the package you so carelessly shared like it's some cheap work that's not worth of any respect. You probably won't read this, and if you do, you probably won't care.
I don't want to play the victim, I'm just trying to make you understand, because if you never entered the creators world (all of what I've said applies to all creators who spend time making things easier for you, not only for myself), you might not know and it may seem easy for you. It's not. Maybe I'm naive but I hope you'll think twice before doing this again to other creators, think of what your actions mean to them, to what you are comunicating. Maybe someone else will react leaving the community forever. We all react in different ways. Because we are people too.
That said, Happy New Year guys 🥂💙
Also sorry for the long text, but I always fear that the language barrier might get in the way to what I truly mean. Also I needed to vent a bit 😅
