We don't know how long it took for Niixa to figure out the portal system, all the previous page said was "Some time later." The majority of injuries Endy received were not life threatening, so he could have recovered since then. Plus he did say that the Reklari were also present until recently, doubt he would let those into his mindspace. And I doubt either Niixa or Endy knew what happened to allow them to contact each other, but I have my theories as to how.

Jokes aside, it looks like its gonna be all hands on deck. The only two left in Kaerwyn who can operate the portal system is Lore and Gruff now, and we haven't seen Lore in a while.
