Computer Problems.
Added 2017-10-27 14:31:45 +0000 UTCSo, I am beyond bummed out. I took today off commissions so I could catch up on the stuff I owe you today and this weekend. But I've been denied, yet again, this time by my equipment.
I started up my work machine today and on the startup, a big ol' warning was showing up that wouldn't let it proceed to booting: CPU FAN FAILURE.
I know enough about computers to know that's really bad. So I immediately shut it off and just left it off. After talking to more knowledgeable people (read: @Ringtail), I decided to order a new fan and leave the machine off.
The new fan won't get here til Sunday.
I'm really sorry guys, I can't say that enough. I owe several of you sketches for your tier. I owe you many BT pages. I owe you some "Inspire me pics" and everytime I think I'm going to have extra time to work on it, something happens. I've spent the last two months pretty much working 12hr days. By the time I get done with that, I'm too tired/sore to try to work on anything else. My truck broke down, leading the necessity of working more to pay it off ($950). Suffice to say, catching up isn't likely.
What I've decided to do, in order to get back on track: This was something I was mulling over, but I think I should probably go ahead and do it. The holidays are coming up and I quite often take the holidays off from updating Kaerwyn's comic. I might just take the entire week off for Thanksgiving (US Holiday) and two weeks off for Christmas. During this time I will try to catch up with existing owed artwork as well as make as many BT pages as I can make. I find it much easier to work on comics if I do page after page after page. BT's been difficult because I've made one page a month. I need to get it rolling and keep it moving. I have no problems with Kaerwyn since I'm inspired to work on it, but there's no inspiration for BT right now. I need to build it by working on it.
So I'm going to sit here and stare awkwardly at my blank cintiq screen and worry all weekend until my machine runs again.
I do have a Cintiq Companion to work on, but I can't really bang out comics or anything significant on it yet. I might use it to make some adoptables or something to help pay off the truck/new CPU fan (At least it was cheap).
Anyway, that is my situation right now.
The good news is, this gives me time to work on the verbage (I really hate that word) for Kaerwyn's new website.
