patreon

Hm Patreon is a little misleading

At the start of the month, Patreon charges all the pledgers for their pledges and sends it to my account. The problem is that it displays the $112 per week on my account's page, however the money is not actually going through. I know people can place monthly limits on how much I can charge, which is fine. I just wish Patreon was more open about it. That said, after the charges have gone through (I'm not sure if it's finished processing or what), but I only got $55 per week for April. This is not enough for me to spend on the BT comic and extra Kaerwyn's. So I will intermittently work on the BT's. If the Patreon donations start to pick up, I'll adjust BT's schedule accordingly. For now I'll have to take more non-comic work in order to make up for the loss. I may also switch to a per-month donation setup, so that the pledged amount is more realistic than what's shown. As always, feel free to post, PM or email me your comments.

Not really a big deal. If I were donating, I'd put a cap on it too. That's why I'm thinking about switching to monthly instead of weekly, so it's easier for everyone and a bit more transparent. If I do change it, it'll probably be in June so everyone's got a head's up for it.

I have mine set to $10 max for now. Mostly because there was one month where $10 was charged but I thought it was only ever going to be $8 a month; $2 per week. So mine is always guaranteed $8 - $10 depending on the creations made for the month. I noticed this month it was $8. My patreon will probably go up after Anthrocon when I don't need to save for it.
