It should come as no surprise that the primary music inspired by 40k is metal, one of the most cringe neckbeard genres to exist. I agree with Mislav that the lore is pretty bland, I wish I could say it's like Greek mythology for the 20th century, but Greek lore actually has some pretty relatable characters and stories, ranging from comedy to tragedy. Warhammer is more or less just 'badass' battles of epic proportion, they've taken one dimension of the Iliad and tossed out anything of substance. At the same time, guitar pedals are retarded in 2022. You can go online and get virtual pedals for free, you can edit sounds in post, you can do so much more with a computer than you could with thousands of dollars worth of pedals, or synths for that matter. J.S. Bach didn't need any guitar pedals, so you can take that to the bank. Also DSOTM is the 5th best pink floyd album, with Meddle obviously being their best.
