Afterwards 1948 Arab–Israeli War Jordan decided to ethnically cleanse Jews from Sheikh Jarrah to place in Palestinian refugee. In the Six Day war it came under Israel again. There was a long dispute getting the Palestinian refugees to pay rent and Palestinians refusing. Afterwards they were sold to right-wing nationalists settlement organization and attempt to evict the tenants from the property. Which resulted in a ugly court battle. Then Hamas launched 1200 rockets in civilian areas in retaliation. I think Palestinian are in the right, they occupied, live in their land for so long and outside of Israel borders. It's complicated and messy. Hamas launching rockets and hiding amongst civilians was a shitty act to do, but also Zionists have a lot to answer for as well.
