can't believe it's the end of Game of thrones y'all. It's been an Insane Journey. Thank you to those that watched all the way to the end with me. I know this final season was hard to watch haha
Even though I'm disappointed in the ending, i still think this show is amazing for what it is. I've never watched something like this before so I'm glad I pushed through and finished it.

it always pissed me off how jon essentially got what he wanted. i'm not saying he was wrong for killing dany, but he killed a queen and got off with.. going exactly where he had wanted to stay, the nights watch. it all felt so, so stupid. and i refuse the idea that the dany plotline would've made more sense if we had more time. maybe it would've. but i'm sick and tired of shows never letting women be rulers. they completely butchered her character and i refuse to accept it as canon. the amount of plot armour both jon and tyrion had made it unenjoyable, and i came out of this season hating the starks. sansa wasn't as clever as she liked to think, arya was one-dimensional and a poorly written 'im a cool girl overpowered killer with no personality' which logistically made no sense (how could such little time make her the best fighter in westeros? boring, bland, uninspiring) and bran was just so incredibly dull. the stark children just felt so overpowered it was boooooooooring. overall this show had some of the worst writing for female characters ive ever seen. such a disappointing end and d&d should feel embarrassed.

Completely understand the needed break between GOT and HOTD, I do believe you'll enjoy the show once you start. Just know HOTD is a huge change of pace and so very eventful. Cant wait for the watch party!
