Out of everyone he should have known, but out of everyone he’s directly related. He is the ONE character who probably no matter what has hope. It makes the most sense for him to make this mistake. Dumb. But it makes sense that it would be him vs anyone else. Still love him.

2025-06-17 02:26:53 +0000 UTCJon is the true heir though. To follow tradition and the law of the land… it’s not really wrong for people to know. And Dany did say “what’s MINE.” - which…. Not necessarily true. You can make the world a better place without being the sole ruler of it. And sadly, Jon probably wouldn’t actually resort to such drastic measures if he didn’t have an additional option. Varys wasn’t wrong.

2025-06-17 01:59:34 +0000 UTCI’d say, Brianne deserves more too. But I’d also say, she loved Jamie probably for years. So I wouldn’t say she gave it up for just nothing … if that makes sense. Also. You don’t have to like his actions, or moral confusion. I think the point is he’s internally also confused and was raised with people who twisted him, made decisions that twisted him etc. I love the character. Even if I can’t agree with certain decisions. Him going to try and save Cerceis life, doesn’t make him horrible I’d say - it makes sense. They literally spent all their life together. Stupid yes. But wrong… I mean not really.

2025-06-17 01:39:18 +0000 UTCI’m so behind. Trying to catch up before you post the finale. Giving Gendry storms end and making him an official Baratheon, was such a subtle smart move. As he is last living heir to the throne on the Baratheon side. When it comes to Dany in this episode. This is where we really begin to see where she is at. Up until this point i genuinely believe she thought people of Westeros would rally behind her because she is the “rightful heir”. However at this point in the show. She is technically third in line behind Gendry and Jon. And her conversation with Jon proves she is not willing to step aside for what is best for the kingdom if it means she not on the throne. Another side note to the talk between Arya, Sansa and Jon. Dany has done nothing truly earn their trust, or made an effort to see where Sansa is coming from. And I hate how they always bring up the fact that she came to help them against the night king like yes she didn’t have to come, but then she no better than Cersei and eventually she dies by him. So her going north was not for the north but to stop and enemy that affected her. (Probably didn’t articulate that properly) I will say it was stupid of them to think Cersei would wait for them to come to her. And not attack first. To be fair they cannot do anything, until Jon reaches kings landing. Because otherwise the only other option is to attack the city with a dragon and a foreign army. So either way they have to wait like 2 weeks, so might as well try diplomacy in the mean time. The only issue writing wise I have with this episode is messandies death. I feel her death is actually really instrumental for how the show ends, I just don’t like the way she was captured. This was such a long comment I’m sorry.

2025-06-14 23:20:24 +0000 UTCAmen. I wish he would just put it out already but I doubt we will ever see it. The writers just rushed it all and I hated every decision they made. Danny was basically put in an impossible situation, but her mental health has been sliding for a while. Even if they gave her options, I don’t think she would actually listen to them. I LOVED her at the beginning of the show, but when the books ended and the writers took over, I hate what they turned her character in to.

2025-06-13 18:52:53 +0000 UTCI sorry Caitlin but I loved every minute of that Brianne and Jaime scene even though Brianne deserves better. I also agree that it would have been for it so much more if we knew that Jaime wouldn’t go back to Cersei nvm just got to the part where Jaime leaves and i agree FUCK JAIME! and they fact that i knew it would happen but i was being delulu makes me even more mad ugh I agree I also feel more chemistry with Yigrette but that might also be because they liked each other irl so idk lol i reall t=dont know what Tryion thought was going to happen and he has been doing so many stupid thing the past couple seasons but that was wow. he should have know that talking to Cersei would not help. now all i hope because Dany is definetly going to burn the kindom down, i hope Cersei dies the next episode she has been above my limit since honestly season 2 or 3

2025-06-13 06:32:38 +0000 UTCNed never strived to be Hand of the King, and look where that got him. Jon and Dany are right....and they are wrong. He shouldn't be so naive and she shouldn't ask him to give him up an identity that he just found out about... there's no right answer here, only consequences. Honestly, the incest is always so 'ew' but it's a different culture/time and mostly portrayed as consensual in this show so I try to just... not think too hard about it.

2025-06-12 20:50:57 +0000 UTCIf Tyrion and Varys would have given Danny viable options as to how to starve Cersei out, even that would have been something. All Tyrion did was continue to tell her to wait while they found a solution, meanwhile she lost all of her allies she had in Westoros whole “waiting” for them to come up with a plan. They weren’t trying to turns Cersei’s friends against her, Cersei has no friends, no one likes her, even the people, so that was never going to be something that deterred her from ruling lol I also think it’s….interesting to say that she (Danny) has been obsessed with the throne in a bad way or that she wouldn’t be a good or just ruler when all she did across the sea was be a good ruler to the people she freed. Was she tempted to make tough decisions? Sure, who’s perfect? But that’s why she decided to surround herself with advisors who would help her make better choices. It’s just that right now, her advisors are failing her miserably, she lost her allies and her dragons. She’s backed into a corner and the only way out is through. Her time is Slavers Bay showed what kind of queen she is capable of being, one who is just but firm, she chose time and time again to sacrifice for the greater good, for the people and for peace and in the end this is where it got her? She opened the fighting pits in Meereen even though she was extremely against that tradition, she was going to marry what’s his face to bridge the divide, she definitely put others before herself time and time again. I don’t think it’s character assassination though, I won’t say more now because of spoilers, but my biggest gripe is in the pacing and the way the directors rushed this season because they were over the show. That will forever be what made some amazing characters end on a sour note for many.

2025-06-12 05:00:16 +0000 UTCI'm intrigued with what you expect Tyrion to say to Dany that would change any of this outcome. The only thing they can do is either kill 1000s of people or wait. I guess technically they can try to assassinate Cersei (which I doubt would be possible, btw), but honestly would that have made a difference? If anything I imagine that would turn the kingdoms against Dany. That's why the whole plan, from the start, was always to take a bit of the kingdom, one piece at a time and basically starve Cersei out until she had no friends and Kings Landing more or less was free to take because the people would leave her. The Night King sort of ruined that plan, but it is the plan they should have gone back to, the plan both Tyrion and Varis advocated from day 1. Since Dany is determined to not do that plan, Tyrion's only option is to try to somehow convince Cersei to do something she obviously won't do. Not really sure what else he could have done? I do agree about the Brienne - Jamie storyline. It's kind of dull, because we all know he wouldn't have stayed with her even if Cersei dies. That relationship is doomed from the start and she deserves way better. But hey, it's GoT, are we expecting people to make good choices? Almost no character except maybe Sam has been particularly successful in that category. Also, I know people get mad because Dany wants to go for it. Again, I'm kinda surprised. She wanted to murder half the people in Slavers Bay because she somehow thought that would bring peace. Kind of a red flag, if you ask me. Also, she has been obsessed with the throne since she got the dragons. Not in a particularly healthy way. So I find it interesting that people are talking about character assassination in the comments, considering she has never really shown that she would behave any differently. Well, this turned into a long comment. Either way, I am enjoying the reactions. I appreciate you.

2025-06-11 21:24:01 +0000 UTCAnd this is the episode that turned me off completely. It was so f***** up this whole episode. Bad writing, poor character development, bad bad, bad. This demonstrates how off book we were with this series. None of the characters should have behaved this way.
