ALICE IN BORDERLAND 2X8 FINALE

Comments

This is the first time I fully watched an entire show with you Caitlin! (except Season 1 ep 1-3 coz i watched it on the pandemic and didn't continue it). But now, was able to finish it and thank God I did! The ending really makes us look forward to Season 3. I wanna know the side of those survivors who chose permanent residence. Are they supposed to be "dead" in the real life since they're not in the real world who survived that comet (if that comet incident was real). I have questionsss but I guess I just need to wait for Season 3. I hope N*tflix don't screw the next season up.

Yayy we're done! Alice in Borderland is such a wild ride, I loved the main cast! I really can't wait to see them again and to see what the hell this Joker card has in store for us. I'm glad you enjoyed it, your first J-drama !!

hot take, this is just my personal opinion on the matter and I might just be alone on this thought, but I was absolutely disappointed in the Queen of Hearts game. I get the whole point of the game, that its main goal is for the players to lose heart to the point of giving up and the Queen was really good at driving that despair. I get that, but from what the show has given us with the Heart games its lead us to expect either sacrifice or betrayal bc a Hearts game (atleast from what we've seen) turns players against each other in order to win. So when Arisu and Usagi entered together I was really worried as Caitlyn did because that's what the show lead us to expect and they killing Arisu's main circle of friends at the early episodes gave me the impression that no characters are safe no matter how significant they are to the main character and to the show. I'm glad and relieved of course that it wasn't that kind of game Arisu and Usagi had to play and overall I think the show wrapped up perfectly with just the right amount of teaser to make us look forward to the next season, but yeah, The Queen of Hearts game supposedly is the hardest betrayal game and it was disappointing that it turned out to be an internal mind game. Maybe if the writers showed more Heart games that are similar to that idea, we would have a concept and expectations that a Hearts game can be you against yourself too, but there wasn't a game like that. It's always been players turning against each other. Again, just personal opinion. Still think the show's ending was strong and love the series overall.

I love the last game so much, the setting is absolutely immaculate and the game itself is just heartbreaking
