Lisa’s the one that brought them together! Apparently Lisa was buying the song from Raye’s old label and her producer told her the story behind it so she called Raye and invited her back on it. Raye took part in the re-writes and production so she’s able to get writing and production credits for the song now which is incredible. It actually sounds so Raye if you’ve been a fan of her for a long time. Lisa is a true girls girl tbh and I know she’s been talking about how much she wanted to collab with Doja so this was huge for her. Collab of the year for me already.

Some time later, Lisa bought the song and invited Raye along with Doja Cat to be featured in it. They had to rewrite and rearrange some things (I believe there's the original demo floating around out there) to include all three ladies, but this is the end result of it. I'm so happy that Lisa asked Raye to take part in this collab because girl deserves to be a part of her own song. A 4 minute song with each one getting their time to shine, collab of the year for me 😊
