I actually had to pause this at work once the game started so I can watch it at home. I could not be ugly crying at my desk

YazStayMoaTiny

✨meganELK✨

dang, even having watched it before, this episode had my ugly crying. so hard to watch.

Tristana Keauna

yesss at least the old man was able to tell gihun how he felt and like you said forgave him but with Ali? poor man was just left there with no explanation and sang woo couldn't even face him smh...

Michelle

I will never get over Ali’s look of realization when he saw the marbles weren’t in the pouch…… he had the purest soul out of anyone there, he did not deserve that at ALL 😭😭😭

surem

Agree 100%

DON'T READ THIS COMMENT IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED THIS EPISODE (6)!! Oh and also, when it comes to Sangwoo... yeah. He's easy to hate. Do I have empathy for him? Sure, in some aspects, just like I do for everyone in the game. But is he a sneaky little bitch? Also yes. I get that it's life or death but fucking hell, when I first watched this episode, it was the moment he duped Ali where I realized they were definitely foreshadowing something like this was gonna happen with that dalgona game and they weren't even subtle about it. He's been such a slimy bastard from the beginning (like literally the first time we meet him) it's kinda crazy, and rewatching after gaining this perspective on him definitely made me point at the screen a few times while going "OOOOH THERE HE IS AGAIN, BEING ALL SHADY AND SHIT". Even in the depths of his despair and in deep debt, he looks down on literally everyone he interacts with, including Gihun. Like dude is over a million usd in debt, yet looks at everyone like *they* should know their place. UGH.

I forgot how episode 7 starts, THAT SCENE PLAYING IMMEDIATELY AFTER ALL THE SHIT WE JUST SAW IS SO UNHINGED LIKE WE DIDN'T NEED TO SEE THAT AAAAAAAH

I still so appreciate the writing of this show. They made me totally cry for JiYeong whom we only knew for literally an episode basically. Man every time I watch I still tear up. Hated this episode. But it’s brilliantly written.

L.S

I believe that sangwoo would use the money to help undo what he did to his mother and stuff, but I think he wouldn’t really learn from it. Our main guy (Gi hun I think?) he’s not the best either but and it was wrong of him to deceive the old man. I would hope that he would learn from all of this and be better if he won. He’s shown in the show so far that he has that compassion and empathy but idk maybe I’m wrong to believe that any of them could learn and be better 😭 This show is messed up haha The only thing I do know is that Ali was a good man and he did not deserve to die like that.

Caitlin Benson

That’s exactly how I feel Hannah. Like dang..

This was an episode I really mulled over for a while (I was pissed and crying at first lol) In the end I can’t blame anyone here. Your main thing is staying alive and I can’t judge their positions as I wouldn’t know what I would do, genuinely. This just showed the harsh reality of survival being top priority for everyone involved. Both Sang Woo and GiHun lied, and tricked. The difference is with GiHun it was an old man so we kind of let it slide a little more as he’s already lived and forgave him etc.

L.S

I disagree…. We were literally told that his mothers things are collateral. His drive is also his mother/family.

L.S

Our main guy has to pay for his mother’s hospital bills and try to get his daughter back. So even though he shouldn’t deceive the old man, he has strong justified reasons to win and save his mum. But Sangwoo? If he wins the game, he will probably go back to doing financial crimes and lose everything again. This dude is too smart and greedy for his own good and has no respect for laws and morals.

Hannah Q.

I know survival is important, but you can still fight for your life in a fair match and, if you lose, accept your fate like a real man/woman. If you don’t have that basic respect for others and moral standard for yourself, you are just a BAD person. Sangwoo really becomes a villain in this episode in my opinion. What he did to Ali was evil.

Hannah Q.

Absolutely fuming every time I watch this episode, I’m still not over it

Portal_Paw

I’ve rewatched this show twice now and this scene still makes me cry.
