2024-10-22 17:45:52 +0000 UTCLove that you got to see actor Gong Yoo in this soo soon after Train to Busan, and secretly can't wait until you come across some of his breakout hits from the past like Coffee Prince, Guardian: The Lonely and Great God, or even the Netflix original Sci-Fi thriller The Silent Sea (not requests). He is such a great actor, and has such a distinct look. I hope he shows up again in future episodes. I was laughing when you saw the evil step-mom from Twinkling Watermelon and knew you'd pinpoint where you saw her from in no time. It's going to be hard not to want her character here to get taken out having watched Twinkling Watermelon first. Not fair, but there it is.

When King Sejong moved Korean over from Chinese characters and created Hangul, he created the characters to reflect the way the lips, tongue and throat move in order to pronounce the language. Any of the box-looking characters, γ γ γ , represent the lips. And of the line characters, γ±γ·γ μ γ γ γ γ΄λ‘γ γ γ £γ γ ‘γ γ , represent tongue placement, and the round characters, γ γ , represent the throat. νκΈ is how you write hangul in Korean. γ is air passing through the throat to make the h sound. γ is an A sound with the tongue flat in the mouth. γ΄ is an n sound with the top of the tongue pressed against the teeth. γ± is a g with the back of the tongue pressed against the soft palate, γ ‘ is a flat- tongue uh sound, and γΉ is an l/r with the to of the tongue pressed against the teeth. ^-^ that's why there are so many geometric shapes. The written language is a physical pronunciation guide for the spoken language.

At first it was hard to relate to people making decisions I wouldn't make, getting caught up in schemes and shortcuts that anyone with common sense would know aren't going to work out. But now that we're in it -- especially realizing the idea of 'choice' is probably an illusion if you can't pull off a professional level disappearance -- we need to be 1000% in it using all of our senses, skills, critical thinking, intuition, luck, charisma, etc. to start figuring ish out (like camera blind spots, listening devices, trackers, moles, alliances, cautious around food and drink, patterns of behavior of guards, anything and everything). Above all, don't panic. Eesh. I have no clue what's about to happen, but it doesn't look good. Watching your reaction helps bring in the humor enough to not get too anxious or frustrated, so that's a nice switch-up for me. I think I like this approach of watching shows this way!!

So it was time well spent. Winter of aespa dressed up as the robot girl for Halloween before. Also aespa dressed up as the Squid Game guards in the red/magenta outfits for one of their dance practices before. I think it was "Next Level" or "Savage", I forgot.

I remember randomly watching this when it first came out. All of the sudden the show was everywhere like memes. I mean that would be fun if you have the energy to do season 2 . Yes it's the in December and the final season is in 2025 it was announced.

2024-10-18 13:59:21 +0000 UTCI had absolutely resisted watching Squid Games because when it first came out I was exhausted with the world in general, with serious medical issues in the family, and just wasn't in the mood for this type of story as "entertainment". Now, years later, I'm up for seeing what all the hype was about with a friendly and entertaining buffer (that's you, lol). Let's goooooo.
