X-MEN: THE LAST STAND FULL UNCUT MOVIE

This is a though one to answer, because I do like MOST of the MCU movies so far, even though they get little things here and there wrong or jump over some things that I personally think they should explain. For instance, Eternals (which also happens to feature Jimin and V from BTS's song 'Friends') should have had a bit more explanation and I think because of that lack of information many didn't like it because there wasn't an understanding of what the point of that movie was. Where did that fit in with the rest? It wasn't interesting to some people because they didn't understand what was actually happening, or supposed to be happening there. Same kind of with 'The Marvels'. They jumped around, didn't explain certain things well enough, and it left people feeling like the movie wasn't really needed in the MCU, and unfortunately some just saw it as a lame 'girl power' movie attempt. But there's information there and while a comic fan would get it... new people, people who have only been here for the movies, wouldn't understand it fully. So I think that's where some disconnect on some of the recent MCU movies has been, and why they haven't done as great as they could have. Deadpool has had it right from the start, that's the one series technically within the MCU that I absolutely stand by. I like some of the main movies like Iron Man- for the most part these are great and RDJ had been the very best person to play Tony Stark, like Hugh Jackman as wolverine- I think these two will be nearly impossible to find replacements for if they choose to go that rout in the future. The Spiderman movies were great - Well, since Tom Holland took over the role- I try not remember the other two for various reasons, though explaining it as they are other versions from other Earth's does cover it up nicely. All in all they're doing as good as they can, and yes, some of the movies in the MCU annoy me because either I don't think the character (or multiple characters) is being put forth the best they could be, or the changes they make don't add up overall. All in all though, they're not horrible and I don't hate them like I do kind of hate these x-men movies lol. But again, even these have their place and I do find it interesting to see people enjoy them and it makes me wonder how they'd react to cannon x-men. Thank you for your comment. I always enjoy talking comics especially x-men as they hold a special place in my memory - My older brother( there's about 15 years age difference) would read to me when I was little, and it was always x-men comics. It's what got me into x-men and the MCU in general. Hope you have a wonderful night/day.

lol I know the freezing issue was super frustrating for you, but it was pretty funny when it happened the first time as you were saying "Charles was like..." and then there was your frozen, unimpressed expression😂 So I don't want to get ahead of myself and spoil you on anything, but I will say this for some of your questions: 1) Logan was definitely born with his healing abilities, the military experiment was just to graft the adamantium to his skeleton - he wasn't born with all that metal 2) Do you remember toward the beginning of the movie, when Professer X was teaching a class? He showed a video of a Scottish doctor talking about her patient, a man who was in a long-term vegetative state with no brain function, and they talked about the ethical question of someone being able to use their powers to put their consciousness into that man's body. That's what that last scene is implying, that Charles's body was destroyed, but because he's such a powerful pyschic he was able to save himself by sending his consciousness into the body of the man in the coma. I hope that makes sense lol 3) I think the thing with the cure is that it was still pretty untested when they started actually using it?? Like, in the real world you have to monitor patients for years and years to know all the potential side effects, etc of a new medication. They talked about Warren (dude w/ wings) being the first to try it, and then it jumps straight to the "cure centers" and the weaponized version. I think they rushed it and had no way to know for sure how it would affect people long-term, especially ones as powerful as Erik. I wasn't expecting to get this one so quickly, but I'm so glad we did! Thank you Caitlin, really enjoying getting to experience some of my old favorites with your first time seeing them💜💜💜

oooh this is interesting to know (about how you're a huge fan of the comics but not the movies)! i'm mainly a tv/movie person rather than comics so i'm not knowledgable on what happens (aside from lil things i hear) but i am curious, since you don't like the x-men movies, are you a fan of the MCU and how that's been portrayed over the years? and thanks for the info on the level 5 mutants! i was searching up the different classes and i didn't realize they're also called omega mutants, which makes more sense now lol

As a huge fan of the comics and the 90's animated show, I absolutely hate these movies for various reasons. However I think they serve a purpose and have led people who are introduced by them to seek out more information and even correct information that these movies got wrong. So again, they have purpose and I do like seeing people get introduced to the x-men through these movies because I find it a little interesting. I refuse to spoil but I can say this about the 'level' thing. High level mutants are a thing. There's various levels but Level 5 or Omega mutants as they're also called just means that they are known mutants who could literally destroy the planet without doing much, that's why they're level 5 mutants. There is a whole list, and while Jean Gray was the first known among the x-men, she was not the actual first mutant to be given the level 5 status. Because I refuse to spoil I won't go into who else is on that list, it won't show up in these x-men movies but since they're rebooting them into the MCU, we might get that list later on. Also keep in mind that mutants can drop off that list of level 5 mutants. Various things can make them no longer 'THAT' powerful. Loved watching this with your reaction, again... I hate these movies but it's worth it seeing others watch them and hearing the theories they form from them. So thanks. Looking forward to more.

Hi Cait! yes i agree with you about what happened to the main characters, special to Charles, i had to read more about what fans who have read the comics knew cause at that time i was so lost 😂 but yes there is a lot that in other movies will make sense, some ..i still have some doubts 😅 and yes the second movie was so good! but i really love X-Men: First Class and all of the Logan's history, can't wait! thank you!!😊

7:39 idk if you have seen "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl" but he played the main character, Max, in that! that's all I know him from though, I think. 56:34 LMAO me every time one of my favorites die in any tv show/movie. I feel you. 😭 1:03:44 no bc when I tell you Erik and Charles' story still gets me- :') I just loved how they were best friends once but became enemies bc they had different, opposite goals but then we see from time to time the respect, or acknowledgement, they were once friends was still there. 1:09:09 that's why I love this so much. the characters' actions make sense and they each have their valid points on why they make the choices they do (it also goes back to Erik vs Charles as well and how I understand both their perspectives and their goals and, even though I was on Charles' side when it comes to wanting peace and for humans and mutants to co-exist but, in reality, we all know it's impossible for that to happen without war bc there's always going to be people who will hate on both ends so that's where Erik's perspective comes in and why his goal also makes sense). 1:17:08 tbh valid point. and yes, Erik will kill a mutant if the mutant gets in the way of his goal, but his endgame is simply just to get rid of humans, not mutants, so you have a point with that. 2:03:00 Deadpool is technically part of the X-Men franchise bc it has connections with one another so, yes, it's part of the list! :') there are only 2 Deadpool movies (Deadpool & Wolverine is basically Deadpool 3 lol) so those are gonna be quicker to get through, but it is best to still watch them based on order date of the X-Men franchise! however, after X-Men Origins: Wolverine is X-Men: First Class which is one of my personal favorites so I can't wait until you get to that, but X-Men Origins: Wolverine is also a good one, especially when it comes to taking a deep look at Logan and his backstory! :)
