I think this show does a really good job of making you invested in each character and developing all of their personalities/stories.

2024-05-18 22:21:07 +0000 UTCThis reminds me of "Business Proposal" and "My Demon". I didn't really think I'd like either of them, but I did. This is the same for this series. If Cailtin had not reacted to this or the other two series I mentioned, I never would have watched it on my own/never would have been curious enough to see it myself. Actually, I have to add that "Twinkling Watermelon" had a better first episode for me (for me alone, I am sure other people will not agree) than "My Demon" in terms of 'hooking' me into the story. Like, yeah, the "My Demon" thing at the start was really intriguing, but the other stuff around it (as in other stuff not about the demon meeting the girl) didn't get me right away (example being the girl's family...the family characters just were...a lot to take in). HOWEVER, in the end, I ended up falling deeper into "My Demon" and I'm glad I gave it a chance. "Business Proposal" was just...magical. The bass war's beginning riff from the main guy (The son, Eunkyul?) reminded me of Prince's "Let's Go Crazy". The part near the end of "Let's Go Crazy" where it just becomes a long, drawn-out riff until the song comes to a stop. That scene with the main girl cutting her own hair (wolf cut), she reminds me of Kang Seulgi of Red Velvet. I know the actress here was the best friend from "Business Proposal", but I didn't see that she looked like Seulgi until this series and the haircut. Se Kyeong (I had to look at her name again) is sort of the main girl in "Twinkling Watermelon", but not really. We're only 5 episodes in, so maybe that will change if she gets more scenes. I don't know. Anyway, Se Kyeong reminds me of Seulgi.

2024-05-18 06:05:38 +0000 UTCSeriously, hang in there. Like a tapestry, there are soo many hidden threads tying things together that will be revealed in fun and surprising ways. Worth being mystified for a bit. Just know that at the end of it all it will be the relationships and character arcs that you'll remember just a little more than the music. That's how good it will get as things start to get clear...after a ton more twists and turns. The other great thing about this show is that on the other side of moments of exasperation, concern or anger there will be vindication and satisfaction to be had! Let's goooooo!

I think now is on my top 3. I also think it was to slow at the beginning but I hope you end up feeling what I feel watching the show π« I feel empty now and I keep watching edits on my tiktok cause i love it so muchβ€οΈ So I will watch in again with you haha
