New Hairstyles Showcase with a Little Story! 📖

We might have talked about it before, but the most time consuming things to create in the Paramaker are hairstyles. Creating a new hairstyle is challenging for several reasons, including having a good rhythm, a recognizable texture while still being stylized, respecting the overall shape, and making sure it’s optimized.  Since we want you to be able to create a lot of different characters, having a decent amount of hairstyles is essential. This is why, this week, I created a little story to highlight them, illustrating how they can be used in game to make our Parafolks unique while also helping in storytelling! 🚨 The Parafolks I’ve created are not official townies, I just wanted to mess around with some story telling. So let’s go!

Rose and Antoine’s Story

This is a little love story, about a couple that fell in love at first sight and grew old together. Their names are Rose Joly and Antoine Dubois. They met at 16 years old, on a Sunday morning, the day Rose’s family moved into town, in the little blue house right next to Antoine’s.

 Here is an old photograph of them, taken by Rose’s mother right after they met. Antoine just came to welcome the Jolys to the neighborhood, and ended up staying all day, helping them move in and talking with Rose.

Rose and Antoine got married and moved into their own house. They had a beautiful little girl named Lily and they enjoyed spending their Sunday mornings making breakfast, dancing and playing board games together.

20 years later, they are still very much in love and enjoy spending time in their garden. Their daughter comes to visit every Sunday for breakfast with her own children.

A Story of a Receding Hairline

Some men are able to keep a full head of hair their whole life while others don’t, and we wanted them to be represented in Paralives.

When Antoine was still a teenager, he had all his hair! Here is the hairstyle slicked in the back that I created for fancy occasions. Sometimes you need to make a good impression, and combing your hair is always a good start.

I’ve created these pajamas to mix and match and have fun with patterns! Here is a closer look:

New Hats Options

Sonia gifted us with two brand new hat options for the Paramaker!

Your Para is going out of the shower or on an outing at the spa? You’re gonna need a wrapped towel for their hair!

We already had a baseball cap, but we needed another classic piece to protect our Parafolks from the sun: the bucket hat!
