What a week it has been. We were overwhelmed by the positive reactions and useful feedback following the Paramaker video reveal. Thank you so much for your incredible and continuous support! Also, a warm welcome to all the new Patrons, we are very happy to have you on board!
With the Holidays and after working very hard on the Paramaker and its showcase video, the Paralives team will be on a two weeks break so the next Patreon post and Discord developer chat event will be in the first week of January 2022. We’ll then be back to our regular weekly, exclusive, crispy and Patrons-only Patreon posts. We’re gonna use this short break to relax and come back in force with fresh eyes to work on the exciting things to come!
Paramaker Video: Developer Commentary
Previously, you might have met Maggie and Sebastian, our first townies. Now that the Paramaker is getting more and more flexible and complete, we are able to create more Townies!
This week’s video introduced Marvin. Colorful, artistic, charismatic and open minded, he’s well known and very respected by his neighbours. While walking around town you might often see him chatting with someone he crossed paths with. At home, Marvin has a family for which he cares deeply and is very proud of.
Speaking of new Townies, it’s hard to ignore Eli, our freshly introduced first child Townie. His adoptive father, Sebastian, got him a jacket that’s very similar to his and Eli just loved that! That’s why they had to both wear it for this week’s photo shoot. Eli and his father are new in town and are looking to start fresh after some hard moments of which the details are still unclear. Please greet them in the neighbourhood!
Tattoos, moles, scars, birthmarks and more can be placed on your Para’s body or face using this new tool that we first revealed in this week’s video. For instance, when selecting a tattoo, it will place it at a default position on the Para. You can then customize the placement in advanced mode. You will first need to choose a region: face, left arm, right arm, chest, back, left leg or right leg. Then, you can change the position, the scale and the rotation. All of these options combined should let you be really precise with your creativity or reproduction of a real life person! Those who would like to use the mod system will also be able to add custom tattoos, birthmarks or scars to the game.
Reminder: If you are on the $5 USD Elder tier or higher, you have access to a folder containing many Paralives wallpapers for your computer, phone or tablet. The folder has now been updated with captures from the latest Paramaker video.

As for Paralives, let’s wish ourselves even more existing things to work on and to showcase! In 2021, we improved and shared a lot about the build mode and then the Paramaker. We’ll be switching our focus to the live mode so it will be really great to start sharing more info and sneak peeks showing how you will be able manage and play with the lives of your Parafolks in the simulation mode of the game!
