First of all, Yoongi and his sexy back in that white tee bias wrecks me heavy. Sorry J-Hope 😢. Second of all, you should definitely try Kimchi. I was introduced to and fell in love with Kimchi when I was a teenager. Now at 41 years old, me watching BTS variety shows and other Korean variety shows that involved food renewed my Kimchi cravings, lol. Now it has become a staple in our household, and even my incredibly picky little 8 year old daughter would eat nothing but kimchi and rice for every meal if she could. It's gotten to the point that I'm going to have to start making it from scratch, because store bought kimchi around here can be kind of expensive. And I just discovered that kimchi with ramen is the best thing in the world, so yeah...I'll be making it from scratch, lol!

To be honest almost all of Bon Voyage and In the Soop are me crushing on Yoongi, lol. Just wait - there's more coming. Way more, haha. Definitely agree with others who've said to watch the Behind for each episode! A few minutes of extra content for each one and you catch some cute moments not aired in the original show.

I would upload all the In The Soop Yoongi pics I have here if I can lol, you should've seen the tl when the show was just out, everyone be dying over Yoongi after each episode sjdskdsk. BTW, the censoring is for brand names like Lego, Naver (Korean Google) etc. I don't think they swore in this show at all, swearing is more seriously taken in Korea, so they especially wouldn't swear on TV shows like this :D

Kimchi is slightly spicy but if you can handle it, try it! There's different kinds too. I like the cubed radish ones XD. I used to make kimchi at my friend's house with her family hahaha. They'd give me a container afterwards XD yummy. Oh! but the smell is very strong though so be careful lol. (Edit: Yoongi in the white tee, yesssssss XDDD)

Hello Caitlin, this is probably the 5th time i'm rewatching In the Soop with reactors and i love how all our reactions are the same all the time wherein we can't help but just smile watching them. I'd say their team/creative/production (I'm guessing the staff here are their Run BTS/BTS Bon Voyage Team as well, please correct me if i'm wrong fellow ARMYs) are really one of the best of the best in creating content that would yeah be work for the boys but at the same time a bit of a break and still respect their privacy and free time/alone time during the 2020 pandemic giving their fans a glimpse of how they were doing that time. I realized in my journey with Bangtannies this past year, that from before their debut till now, they released a ton amount of content so they really work non stop. You get to see that while they're doing Rookie King/American Hustle Life/Run/Bon Voyages/Tour/Tour Movies/Summer Packages/Winter Packages/Brand Shoots etc. they were making and producing music all along. Their work ethic is just out of this world.

- food waste - Korea take recycling VERY seriously and there are very specific rules on proper disposal of garbage - while I want to say it's just the boys being sweet with each other, it's part of Korean culture to share and work together towards a common goal - it's part of a community focused mentality, versus the western ideals of individualism - eating together and sharing food, versus having your own individual plate - not saying either way is right or wrong, but they do affect the dynamic between people and how they behave in certain situations - as far as we know, though all the members are hugely musically talented, Yoongi is the only one that can technically play the piano - Jin is in the process of learning guitar and piano, JK is learning guitar (and apparently drums), Jimin seems to play a couple songs well, though, like western kids learning Chopsticks, it doesn't necessarily mean he knows how to play - Tae learned saxophone for a few years and seems to know how to play chords fairly decently on the piano - however, at the end of the day, as musicians, and constantly having to work around and with musical instruments in both the performance side as well as the production side, all the boys are probably at least comfortable around instruments, if not expert players of them

- Hello Nature - just mentioning it now because you will see it mentioned many times over the course of the show - Hello Nature is a grocery/meal kit delivery service in Korea that the boys endorse - the American equivalent is Hello Fresh (which you can look up and order from) - different menus based on geography, the Korean one has Korean meal menus, which, sadly, the American one doesn't have - Tae and Namjoon are both novice cooks - they are in the process of trying to learn how to do it better - kimchi - there are many types of kimchi, but the one most people recognize internationally is cabbage kimchi - if you really want to try some, Korean markets and restaurants will have them, but, if you're social distancing, you can also order it online on Amazon - I get mine from Jongga for those times when I'm out of legit kimchi and can't get to the store to get more - they come in little individual serve cans that are shelf stable and taste decent (tastes more like stir fried kimchi to me, probably due to the canning process, but cooked kimchi is the best way to make an introduction with kimchi anyways) - you can eat it straight from the can, or throw some chopped bacon in a pan to start sizzling, dump the kimchi in there, cook for a bit until juices start coming out, add some cooked rice and make kimchi fried rice - top with a fried egg and a light drizzle of sesame oil and it's amazing

Ugh I love this show so much, it's so healing and fun to watch! Suga stole my heart with this show honestly so same Oh and yeah Jimin has a tattoo on his ribs, one on his wrist, and the two above his elbows that are censored here on the show when you see them. Jungkook has the full sleeve that you'll see censored all throughout the show too, although he's shown it in Run BTS now so I think it was only censored for this particular show.

If Yoongi is already hitting you hard in episode 1, you will be a mess by the end lol Bon Voyage and In the Soop provide prime domestic/'boy you need to calm down' Yoongi content. One of the things I love about getting into kpop is being introduced to foods I've never heard of. I was leery of kimchi bc it's fermented but oh my gosh its one of my favorite things now. I put in everything, I'm having it in a burger right now lol The helping each other thing is a product of having lived together for a decade. In the early days they each had a specific job to do to make sure their apartment wasn't a massive mess, and a lot of that carries over to their travel series. You'll see this division of labor alot. Also they just work well together in general. I think with this series, if you havent fallen for each and every member yet, you will by the end. Its the same with Bon Voyage, how you get to see them in much more unguarded moments, but even more so here bc they really get a chance to relax. You get to see how funny, sweet, and goofy they are, how affectionate and playful they are with each other, how open and honest they are with each other. It was definitely one of the best things to happen in 2020.

Yes Caitlyn, Jimin has tattoos. The one on his arms are the most recent. He has one just under his chest on his right side which says "Nevermind". Also the cooks in the group are mainly Jin and Suga.
