I like the idea of thrusting momentum to the idea of "giving". So when I am feeling like I have more than I need I'll get a gift certificate wherever I'm eating or an extra bag of snacks at the grocery store and gift it to someone on the street who needs it more. Strangely, the last two times I've offered these gifts, they've been denied! I did however find another method today. A young lady, who's mother passed away, just inherited four horses which she can't afford to care for, but loves very much. I was able to offer her space for her horses at no cost so long as she comes over and loves on them. It reminded me of myself 4 years ago when I had absolutely no money, but I was rich with horses! It led me down the path I took, doing whatever I had to to care for them. It was such a wonderful feeling of closure to a difficult past when today I was able to offer someone the help I wish I was brave enough to ask for all those years ago.
