Resuming Patreon

I'm getting back to work, with very exciting news.

First of all, this month will be free for everyone who is already part of the Patreon. I will start posting content this week and you will be charged from April 1st and on.

My break was very fruitful. College was excellent, I dedicated time to my family, and I delivered the print-on-demand for the Character-Centric Packs. During the break, I looked for writers and artists from my country (to give some financial support to Venezuelan folks) and brainstormed new ideas for content creation. As a consequence here's what's new and what's coming (you might consider this a relaunch of the Patreon).

THE DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP GREW

You can check it in this post.

I changed the format to make it more appealing and also included many projects I have kept stored in my folders. Keep in mind that future projects (the blackened ones) are subject to change or being discarded. The rest are the ones currently in the workshop, being developed for a full release.

I'm particularly very excited about The Deck of Many Fortunes. I will share with you soon what is it about.

NEW TIER: $10

The Lorekeeper tier ($10 monthly) will be in your interest if you'd like to get...

This tier offers a bit of quality of life by giving everything released in this Patreon in one place as well as giving you the tool to create your own assets with the proper feel of the Ironsworn dress. It is also worth considering that the purpose of this tier is to help this Patreon achieve a new goal: $175 monthly.

NEW PATREON GOAL: $150 MONTHLY

If this Patreon achieves this goal, I will be able to afford an artist who will illustrate the currently released foes and quest fronts, as well as future projects. The artist in question goes by the name of RubΓ©n Acevedo, and this is a sample of what he can do (this is the Engulfer foe, which can be used with the Engulfing Siege quest front):

A friend of mine, David Ojeda, the developer of The Augur (a software to play Ironsworn), messed a bit with colors, for fun. Keep in mind that I'm sticking with black and white, since I'm a big fan of the line art present in the Forbidden Lands.

NEW URL

Many people have the idea that this Patreon is dedicated only to "that Ironsworn supplement called Ironcrunch" and they associate with it any material I produce. Of course, this was the original intention when I launched this Patreon. However, things have evolved to the point in which I'm no longer designing and developing exclusively Ironcrunch, but I have released other materials that are used for the Ironsworn system. This is the reason why the new URL of this Patreon will be simply my name.

Every quest front and asset attached to their respective posts have been updated accordingly.

CURRENT PLAN

I will keep delivering weekly the quest fronts and assets as always, but my main focus will be on converting every Ironcrunch material to Adobe InDesign to support print-on-demand and make a full release with it as an option.

I have to admit that I'm a bit worried about the cover art, I already have the concept, but it might be too ambitious. If I don't manage to afford it when the time comes, I'd have to release a digital version first and afford the cover art with the sales; then, I will offer print-on-demand.

Comments

Also man, those artworks! I'm more of a fan of the more modern dnd and numenera style but I can definitely appreciate some good old school artworks. Art makes everything so much better (I have to say that, my girlfriend is a professional artist ;) but I do believe that anyways) I also love that you support fellow artists! They really do need it in these trying times!

What?? I haven't been notified. Or maybe it got drowned in all my other notifications. Anyways: congrats, I'm so happy for you. Quality time is always great! I'm eagerly awaiting my character centric pack (probably stuck in delivery limbo, courtesy of UPS). Those . indd files sound juicy. And what's this.... .xls-format? I definitely have to check out the roadmap!
