To Be Hero X 03

I honestly felt for Firm Man...imagine you can't take a dump or sleep on a normal bed....FOR YEARS. The little girl he saved didn't become evil, she was trying to free him the only way she could....she was in fact his hero....too bad they didn't show what happens next. Next ep is WILD. Get ready for the ride.

Not only the hero names are "odd" - Miss/Lady J is Juan jie (meaning in Chinese is like Refined/Graceful/Beautiful Older Sister Lady). Still, I consider it fine. Plenty of times Jap/English don't match up like Bitch or Come on! or Super Secret Himitsu Mission.

The hero names have always been a tad confusing. Because quite a few of the heroes have two different names depending on the dub and the subtitles. Like here you have Firm Man, which is the generally accepted name, but obviously you hear them say Mr. Stand which is the other name for the character. I can't remember which is the Japanese name and which is the Chinese name, though I'd assume Firm Man is the Chinese name given Mr. Stand is said in the Japanese audio, but not the subtitles. It happens again with the hero Smile, except his name actually is Smile, and yet the subtitles say Extro, which actually doesn't make any sense at all. And then you have E-Soul, again that's the generally accepted name, but an alternate name that he has is Soul Electric. E-Soul feels like a localized name that's more condensed. On a side note, To Be Hero X was a co-production between Chinese studios, with Li Haoling directing, and Aniplex/Crunchyroll, so it does make sense that a studio like Mappa would be assisting, but they're not the core studio on the show, those are the Chinese studios.
