Side Projects

Hello everyone,

This is a post I like to make from time to time. As many of you already know, I tend to work on multiple projects at the same time in addition to the current main one here.

Over the past few months, I’ve been focusing on Spooklight Heist, working closely with an artist who has been doing a great job on the combat illustrations. At the same time, I’ve been testing a few different ideas (including a small 3D project), and I think it could be interesting to start sharing some of those experiments here as well.

Of course, I’ve been also considering bringing more updates on other projects we already have, like Trash Hero and The Warlock's Dungeon.

I also have another text-based project that’s already quite advanced, but I’m still not ready to share it publicly just yet. It’s a project I’m very attached to, and it explores a darker theme compared to the other games.

That said, I’d love to hear what kind of ideas you would like to see more often here, either for Spooklight Heist or older projects too. We still have a long roadmap ahead for SH, but it would definitely be possible to share different updates.

The whole concept of the game was meant to be a dark fantasy, from the colors to the overall design. That said, compared to other famous text based games, it’s still pretty mild.

Darker theme? Warlock's Dungeon seemed like it was pretty dark to me. "Find yourself in a fog, get accosted by some kind of demon thing, end up in a town that seems to exist in some kind of purgatory, everyone tells you 'Go through the Dungeon, it's something to do.' and there's no indication that it actually leads out of said purgatory." But maybe I'm forgetting or reading too much into it?

Sure, that would be really interesting. Getting into 3D has been a huge learning curve for me.
