Yeah... R.I.P. 4th Kazekage :( While "Sannin" is just a title and not actually a measure of power/ability, all 3 of them are (as you've seen) at the level of Kage (although "Kage" isn't a static level, and can vary from village to village since it's just the strongest ninja in a village). While it doesn't mean they're the strongest (as Orochimaru said, people like Itachi are even stronger), they're strong enough where them taking out a Kage on their own is believable. Orochimaru especially. He's... not normal. But his theme is LIT yo! Best. Villain. Theme. Ever. Let's go!
