Let's do the same thing with native C4D particles.
Now this needs way more complex thinking even for basic things like that, as c4d particles have way less functionalities on the front end of things. And that is my main complaint about a system that works very well and super fast but you need to think like a programmer to start doing anything a tad more controllable and complex.
Personally, this is a great mental exercise but I can understand that for new people, it can get a bit overwhelming.
In any case, I am using native particles same as xparticles, depending on what I have in mind.
Going forward I will translate all my scenes to native c4d particles to get a 1:1 comparison of how the system behaves.
