ha nice to hear! It definitely requires a lot of that when it comes to xp and performance :) but keep it simple, eg if something takes more than 15-20 minutes just do go there

Heya, well firstly u add more points in the splines, thats what makes em smooth and not subdiv in the end. So smaller particles also. Then for the the cloner count, simply as much as your pc can handle, not all machines can do same. I dont have the project file of this one i think, i ll have to take a look, but I brought the cloners closer and probably around 300? The cache and all didnt take more than 10 -15 minutes, so aim at a calculation that makes sense. Tops half an hour. So its not one answer is simply trial and error to see what your pc can handle!
I ll try look for this file but im pretty sure its one of those cases that i just deleted it haha cause i have so many stuff here and when i do rnd many times after renders i throw em in the bin.

Hello Thanos, may I know what settings did you use for the spline subdivision and the cloner count for having such amount of details? When i set my cloner to 400x400 the viewport just freezing and alembic caching takes... almost half a day. I tried with 200 clones but there is too much gap between the splines. Also I was unable to subdivide the hair when rendering with octane hair. It looks smooth in this example, how did you approach it? Lots of question sorry 😅
