Procedural Donuts! (VIDEO TUTORIAL)

Hello lovers!

I know that Valentine's day is tomorrow, but I decided to share a bit earlier something sweet :)
This is my approach on creating procedural donuts. The main inspiration for this is Lewis Orton's tutorial for Houdini and Mau Borba's tutorial for Cinema4D.

I never eat donuts so probably I missed out some details :) feel free to correct me!

Cheers!

My dude this was dope to learn! Always love new procedural approaches. I added a couple lil touches that came to mind as I was working. To place the sprinkles I created a vertex map using the radius of the donut underneath the icing, as well as a linear field + random field to control height with variation. This part is still procedural too. Also added a dilate+erode to the donut part with a strength of like -1 and a small box field to make a slight indent like on the actual bread! This is a bit more manual but adds detailz! Thanks for getting the gears turning. Will be sure to share after I watch the next video :)

Niiiiiice! :) Love it! Funny thing, I did something similar a while back, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrxLoTGclCk ..but I didn't know visibility is calculating everything and scale is a better option. Thanks, amazing as always!

Thank you! What a nice procedural way of creating a donut. And here I was thinking donuts was only for Blender-people. ;) Will have to try this!
