Mamba out PART_A (VIDEO TUTORIAL)

Comments

mamba project is commercial now, so i cant give out project files for this one anymore apologies. Feel free to follow tuts to recreate it

Thanos Kagkalos

Why Can't Dowload Projects?

Mean Samet

the project is commercial and files are not available anymore. Apologies for inconvenience feel free to follow the tutorials!

Thanos Kagkalos

Can I have these files?

Amengg

u mean modelling the ball? No i didnt model it, i used a ready model. I dont have modelling tutorials as that is not what i do. Many models are also ready in c4d asset browser, give it a look.

Thanos Kagkalos

is there a tutorial on how to make the basketball faster than what I can do?

Mary Reis

hahahaha, i'm watching everything, this little tips and trick you drop during the video is pure gold! hehehe

Lamek - Visual Artist

hahhaha what are u doing here :D this is a bit old!

Thanos Kagkalos

Motion Inheritance is a gold tip.

Lamek - Visual Artist

Mmm, probably thats the reason u dont see the particles. Houdini does same, u cannot open commercial projects with the free version of it.

Thanos Kagkalos

Hello, particles cannot be seen on the trial version of X Particles with octane, is that normal? thank you

fuzi8n

Hey there u go: https://www.patreon.com/posts/mamba-out-part-b-47893700

Thanos Kagkalos

where can i find part B

Graphicnations

That would be great, looking forward to it.

Yoshio

planning to breakdown the vdb part here and u ll see.

Thanos Kagkalos

Interesting. I've been implementing cloud VDBs, but I have a lot to learn with how to use them. I didn't know you could get results like that. Yours seem very dynamic and integrated, even reacting. I thought it was physics reactions, but it seems you are somehow creating the illusion of that.

Yoshio

Hey, 99% I use ready vdb collections. In octane forums there is a cloud tutorial with the octane fog objet and somehwere i ll try link find it. I think it was on the 2019 versions in c4d plugin

Thanos Kagkalos

Amazing work. Aside from the VDBs, do you use something else for clouds? I know you mentioned Octane Fog with noise. Do you use Turbulence FD? Your clouds seem better than VDBs or Fog.

Yoshio

Thanks, will show that due time as well! Probably on the next 2 tuts

Thanos Kagkalos

Great video, just wondering if there are any plans on showing the process for the basketball jerseys, is it X-Particle cloth simulation with UV maps?

Dean

coming shortly!

Thanos Kagkalos

Gr8 piece....is there part B of this one?

omar niaz

haha

Thanos Kagkalos

I agree... f**k storytelling

Luigi Dalla Riva

more is coming very soon! appreciate the kind words

Thanos Kagkalos

Very nice! I love that simple things, and attention to detail, can create such beautiful work. Thanks so much. More please!

Jason Phillips

Thanks! due time yea! There are so many stuff and so little time haha

Thanos Kagkalos

awesome video! would be great to see the process to create the ocean that you used in you latest project for the title sequence

Federico Gardin

really nice man, can't wait to see more. I like the staggered gravity field I can think of a lot of ways that can come in handy.

Spenser Clark

Thank you for your wonderful tutorial !

VFX DADDY

Hi, there are no specific goals here. I do 1-2 tuts per month as it says in the description of the page. I assume you are here just to see the net :) This will take a while as probably the next few tuts will be about particles and how things were actually done. Advanced or simple, it is what it is I guess :) cheers

Thanos Kagkalos

so is there going to be more in depth tutorials for other areas of the video like animations on the nets tightening, physics animation of the net interacting with the ball etc this is amazing insight on the xparticles for the basketball for sure, this is a bit more advanced for me currently but happy to know what to shoot for as far as goals. Thank you for even doing this to begin with!

Martin Flores

On the previous tutorial, i demonstrate a method of creating vdb stuff, check it out! Other than that, yea this is a purchased asset. U can create also ur own clouds with octane fog volume object and some noises! Cheers

Thanos Kagkalos

Thank-you, this is great, how did you create the VDB cloud? Can it be done with X particles or is it a purchased asset? Cheers Rob

Rob Sulman

Happy new year! Amazing as always!

Waleed

AWESOME!!
