Like what you did in Fruitless shot04, you make the whole dynamic simulation via low poly object after that you replace it with the main objects

Direct the proxies instead of another object? Not sure if that would work here well. Would be better to use shitty decimated model and keep using "another object"

If you use the proxy objects as an instance to do the dynamic simulation then replacing them with main objects maybe you will get the same results, is that right ?

Superb tutorial! Thank you. BTW, how did you get those viewport filters into viewport HUD with names such as GRID and NULL. When I drag from Viewport filter list, I got Perspective.Grid and rename won't work. Thanks and have a great weekend!
