I probably wouldn't have watched it but love Alex and Josh from A Story Worth Telling so much that I watched it with them. Worth looking at from a filming and story perspective but it's rather gross. Maybe gross is a good reason.

2024-02-05 20:06:30 +0000 UTCI also like to point out (and I may be wrong here) that in the early part of the movie Timothée's closeups are almost exclusively in profile to match the statue that will become prominent later as Oliver traces the facial outline of the statue and then recreates that trace on Elio's face.

2024-02-05 19:59:29 +0000 UTCSo many interesting details with this film. The opening credits are filmed over the clutter of what is supposed to be the top of Sammy's (Elio's father) desk. Also interesting (maybe) is that Elio's father's name (Samuel) is not mentioned in the book and is a product of the film. I think that is also true of the family name Perlman. But I would have to check back with the book for both of these assertions.
