2023-08-10 13:43:38 +0000 UTCI feel i need to write something. I'm girl and i am straight. When i first watched Heartstopper i thougt "this is great show, heartwarming, sweet, cute. It's beautiful lovestory and i love it so much that i'll probably watch it few more times". Then I saw a lot of reactions on youtube. Most of the reactions was from people from the LGBTQA+ Community. And it opened my eyes... I realised that this istn't just a wholsome, cute lovestory. This is much much more. I didn't realize that this show is so important, that this show have so much impact on people. I started to look at this in a complitely diffrent way. And i started to cry. I don't know how to describe how much those reactions changed what i felt. I'm very grateful every person who decided to put those on youtube. I don't know if anyone know what i mean, but i felt i just need to write this. And sorry for mistakes. English is not my native language and i'am not very good at it.

I´m lowkey waiting for them to tell us they ordered season 4 or 5 any day now! I have justifiable trust issues with Netflix nowadays and I need reassurance that this story will be able to play out to completion.

And when the artist described freeing yourself from all the things we're told we should strive for in our youth. I literally sobbed for a good hour about it because. OH MY GOD IF I HAD A SHOW LIKE THIS WHEN IT WAS YOUNG I MIGHT NOT HAVE HAD TO FEEL THE WAY I DID. And also the scene where Isaac sat outside on the balcony alone while everyone is cuddled up inside all in love. I CANNOT TELL YOU THAT IS EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS. Its so isolating to look at something that bringing others so close together and know you cant be a part of it but not know why. Its so alienating. Like those two scenes omg I could talk about HOW NEEDED THEY ARE FOREVER.

BUT YES NICK: He is insanely clued in for a teenage boy. Like he knew about Tao and Elle before even Charlie or Isaac fully figured them out, he knew that something was going on with Ben and Charlie in S1. He knew what was happening with Charlie in this S2. He knew when Tao needed to talk about Elle. He knew how to talk to Elle in the museum to get her out of her head about the Tao situation. He knew when Imogen needed support. He's very attentive to all the people around him. At first I thought this was just the beautiful, perfect Bi-Man trope which I live for but then I realised... it makes so much narrative sense. He spent his whole life with his father ignoring his existence, his brother being loud and crass... he never wants anyone to feel as though they don't matter, they arent seen or they are not enough. Not like he did. I think thats also a big part in the reason in why 1. He loves Charlie so much and 2. He is so frustrated when he cant come out and say it to the world. Because not only does Charlie make him feel seen, loved and wanted. But He wants to make Charlie feel that in return. He doesnt want Charlie to ever feel like he is a burden to him. He is so emotional every time he says it because he always felt like a burden to his father. He wants to show how proud he is to be with Charlie to everyone, but it's hard. He just never wants to do to anyone what his father did to him.

It's been a lifetime since I was in school and what I saw and experienced was never that real. Kit's got acting chops for sure. Then you have Charlie with the heart eyes and it makes you want to go back and make different choices
