I thank heavens every day for the fact that I haven't watched the first season before the second one came out, otherwise i would've been absolutely DESTROYED. I was shaking while re-watching this final episode NOW FOR THE S2 SPOILERS!!!! . . . For me the ending of S2 is actually perfect. Not only from the perspective of a fan, but also as a whole story. It says that yes, the world is brutal and unfair, especially to children, you will fight and you will lose things and people dear to you, but it also says that it's not hopeless. It's a heavy price to pay but sometimes, very rarely, miracles can happen. And also, I know that I'm kinda in the minority, but considering the overall track record with shows continuing past a certain point, (especially with netflix) I'd rather have S2 to be the finale of the series than have a subpar continuation that ruins the whole story. Because the start of the original webcomic was the endpoint of S1, and S2 was the whole thing, but there's nothing about what happens after? I don't even know the amount of starts that have to be aligned for the whole team making this show to be able to pull this off without dropping the ball completely. Just maybe let them escape the narrative and be happy for once, you know?..

I would never watch anything like this, but you sucked me in and since I have no agency at all and an innocent victim, I had to go along and now I'm scarred. I'm going to go go rewatch Rokuhoudou Yotsuiro Biyori an anime about four guys wholesomely running a cafe and raising a cat together. Then I'm going to watch it again, because I don't think only one viewing could erase the trauma from my mind. ;)

They are honestly even closer in the webtoon than what was shown in the series so much so that their classmates thought they were dating π I hope the webtoon continues and maybe sooho wakes up again π

2023-04-05 02:47:32 +0000 UTCAfter watching episode 6, my interpretation is that Bum Seok's downward spiral was triggered by his romantic feelings towards Si ho, indicating that he may be gay and struggling with related issues. As I mentioned in my previous comment, societal expectations of toxic masculinity and the pressure to conform may have led to his experience of being bullied for being different. His anger towards the new girl seems to have exacerbated his problems. Due to their young age, none of them have developed the maturity required to effectively cope with the multitude of issues they are facing, making the situation all the more tragic.

He carries self-hatred, trauma, internalized homophobia, likely due to years of toxic masculinity and beatings being forced upon him. He's a sensitive guy trying to survive in a hostile environment where he's constantly mistreated and unsure of where he belongs and not sure of who he is. I'm sure this will turn out well. /s

I'm only on episode 3 as I'm watching it with you, I think as far as Canon is concerned the glasses boy is pinging me as the gay boy who has a crush on the athletic kid. I'm not getting queer vibes from anyone else, but there is a lot of shipping fanon/potential.

I guess it happened when it had to be edited so the subtitles show up for us? I pulled the episode up myself and muted it and then synced the video to the audio from Brittany's reaction
