Early/Uncut Access: Hannibal 2x13

The interesting thing about Will's whole 'act' with Hannibal was that he was so sincere. He had to be in order for Hannibal to not see what was happening. He even used his hands to kill Randall Tier because of the intimacy of it. The desire to kill in Will is genuine, just as his connection to Hannibal was genuine. He got so close to Hannibal that he even used the exact words Hannibal used to warn Hobbs back in the first episode of S1. The worst part of this is that the only reason. The ONLY reason Will did all of this was for Abigail. Hannibal underestimated the attachment he helped foster in Will and so he didn't realise that if he had only told Will that she was alive, they could have had the life together that Hannibal wanted, but Hannibal has only ever seen Will. It's why he was able to 'break the teacup' again so easily. It is why his attention was only on Will until he had to leave. That said, if anyone was anywhere close to happy after this, it is probably Freddie... actually no. Fredrick Chilton. He didn't really lose anything by this, but gained more.

This episode is so hard. I cry every time. Hannibal giving Will one last chance to just go. And honestly, I always believed that if Hannibal had told Will about Abigail, that Will would have left with him. I get why Hannibal didn't. He wanted Will to choose him for no other reason than wanting him, but Will was too hurt. Fix it fics for this episode are still my favorite. Hannibal crying and stealing Wills jacket right off Alana is not great breaking and funny.

You said it . Hannibal got it really bad . He even gave Will a chance to tell him the truth at their last dinner . Mads's acting is absolutely amazing in this . It's a little dark but one of the last scenes you can actually see a tear fall from his face . Also that small voice crack whe he said "I let you know me ". Last .... he took Will's jacket with him at the end. That wasn't his .
