Patreon pack updates and other info!
Added 2016-01-25 20:48:11 +0000 UTCHey everyone ! I just want to say sorry for the Patreon pack delays, Ive found out that my patreon only art packs have been getting leaked. So Ill be postponing the pack update for this month to the 1st of next month so I can figure out how to prevent this from happening again.
But that just means youll get twice as much in the next pack post and the first page of the comic!!
Thank you for being patient with me !

Don't worry about what you cannot control? No matter what people are going to share your art. Live with it.
2016-01-29 13:52:18 +0000 UTCThe only way I can think you can get around this is by create custom packs for each patron which has stenographically signed images in it. That way if they do leak you would know exactly which patron leaked them. That's a lot of set up though; you would probably want someone to write something to do that for you.

2016-01-27 04:47:54 +0000 UTCFrom what I've read, it's a big problem with Patreon where people will pledge an amount, download all of the "patron only" content, then cancel their pledge before they're charged to get the content for "free". One way you could solve this is to password protect the content and send out passwords via email only to accounts that have payment confirmed for the month. This can help to reduce theft, but I don't think it can ever really be prevented.
2016-01-27 04:44:00 +0000 UTCWhile I don't condone piracy I feel like it's inevitable. I feel like a lot of methods to circumvent it can hurt your performance over all. The fans that can pay are going to and ones that can't, won't.

2016-01-26 00:01:36 +0000 UTCI've seen other artists password-protect their archives/packs, and send out the pack's password through a batch private message to patrons who meet the associated tier. Also that totally sucks that people are leaking your stuff. :(

2016-01-25 23:45:28 +0000 UTCQuick search from wisekgeek: "On a similar note, some sites are selling downloadable files with a digital fingerprint that makes it possible to trace pirated copies back to the original source."

2016-01-25 20:54:36 +0000 UTCYou know where are the sources of the leak? I'm betting it's being downloaded as torrents (Kickass i.e.)
