October 2024 Early Access - Astral Dragon! (4Dir, PSD and Static!)

Hello and Good afternoon!

The last battler out of the October 2024 charged post battlers, The Astral Dragon is now available over at early access!

A space creature born of energies from the Astral plane. It's body is huge the size of mountains, usually living on a different plane their energies seep into the plane of Origin where mortals dwell Causing fluctuations of magic to burst. They are Dragons with a long body that looks like a long nebula when able to be seen.

With this 4Dir and battler we complete the October 2024 battler roster!

I'll take the oportunity to use this publication as the wrap up post for this month!

Upon completing the Elemental Phoenixes early into the month and noticing how much it took, and the needs and concerns of our communtiy, I arrived to the conclusion I needed to figure out a faster workflow both for the production of battlers and map sprites in order to actually cut through the backlog of map sprites int he plan originally laid out at the beginning of the month, weeks were invested both into further grinding out both technique and pipelines to arrive to results, and eventually towards the end of the month I did come up with the ideal pipeline, both as the result of leveling up from all the practice and combining all the production paths i've tested through the years!

Both in terms of speed and quality, this batch of battlers and map sprites in the EA for this month serve as the sample of this, you will notice they are a new milestone in terms of design, poses, concept and texturing, both in the pixel art and illustration departments, I will now jump right into more of the backlogged sprites with these new techniques, resuming basically where that idea around the time I posted the phoenixes left us off! As I announced yesterday this month we had no poll so I will take the winners for this month from the previous poll, the next 8 top voted entries from that one, and the poll fo the December 2024 sets will go live tomorrow!
