The Latimore algorithm is a mathematical oddity, dismissed as a simple computer trick from the golden age of text-based adventure games. Few computer scientists have encountered it, fewer still have worked with it, and no one, except its creator Albert Latimore, know where the core of the calculations come from. It’s not likely he’ll be talking anytime soon.
He’s been dead for thirty-three years.
