Some Fun for Halloween

Here are two for your Halloween enjoyment...
They're not Lovecraftian per se (though they very easily could be). Let me know what you think!

2016-10-31 16:13:13 +0000 UTCI think I've expressed myself badly - it's not that its ineffective as an ending, it's that it is less effective than BLACK TOP's ending is on the page, because of the relative lack of ambiguity if you follow me. I'm sure, when filmed, it would be scary as hell. Whereas BLACK TOP just is because...well, what does it all mean? Very Lynchian. The sense of having been thrust into a world where everyone knows the rules bar you.

2016-10-31 16:06:32 +0000 UTCI enjoyed these, although I felt Black Top was the more interesting because of its heavy ambiguity. Take A Walk might be ambiguous but it also has a more 'serial killer imitating victim' finale, which doesn't frighten on the page. The strangeness of the Black Top denouement is very effective; I very much want to know more. PArticularly about the other people who emerge, alongside the Masked, be-cleavered woman. What are they wearing (in a non, sex-chat-line way) and doing? Cool stuff.
