Dork Factory Update (June 11th)
Added 2020-05-31 19:53:56 +0000 UTCThe Dork Factory is located on Lake Street a half mile west of the 3rd precinct police station of Minneapolis. Given recent events, time for work has been nearly unattainable. Miraculously, the June models are still on schedule to be released but right now nothing is certain. We've received multiple notices to be prepared for power outages, and every day here is exponentially crazier than the last.
Being in the middle of this, there hasn't been time to contemplate the gravity of what's going on or even assess the situation further than a few miles away, but I want to express my thanks to the local community. Despite the growing numbers of non-locals interested in destruction for its own sake, despite lockdown and rampant police brutality, people in this community have come together like I never thought was possible. For now, we're doing alright.
Your support means more than ever right now, and if you can, I encourage you to donate to relief groups in the Twin Cities.
I'll keep you posted, and with luck the June release will be out late tomorrow evening.
Deepest thanks from the Dork Factory
Update (June 2nd): The models are out but voting is currently postponed for a week or so and I'll be mostly unavailable during that time. As I'm sure you all understand, nothing is written in stone right now but as much as I can I'm going to keep you all updated. Good luck to you all.
Update (June 11th): The Dork Factory is back to business as usual! Next month's release is probably going to be a little different due to time lost, and also because there are a couple very awesome miniature sculpting possibilities on the horizon that might get mixed in... I'm working out what that will look like and will get back to you all very soon. If anything, this month will be even more cool than usual!

Thank you I appreciate that. Despite how obsessed I am with 3d printable miniatures you're very right about that. Good luck out there.
2020-06-03 00:42:15 +0000 UTCKeep safe and do what you have to do. People will understand. There are things going on in the world right now that are much more important than 3D printable miniatures.
