The album was an instant success having 1.02M sales in just the first day on the Hanteo Album Chart making Jimin the first soloist to sell 1 million copies in one day in the charts history! The album and title track debuted #1 in the global iTunes Charts making Jimin the first Korean artist to make an iTunes All Kill in 2023.
Like Crazy debuts at #2 on Spotify Global with 6.6M streams. Like Crazy debuted in 71 of 72 countries with daily Spotify charts, charting in the top 100 of all but 11. Jimin also earned his biggest streaming day of all-time on Spotify with 22.4M streams, almost doubling his previous high.
Amazing success for the first weekend of release and he deserves it all.
A little bit of what Jimin said about his album in an interview: “I worked on "Face" while looking back on the time during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as on my own self. I began actively working on the album from the start of 2022. One of the things that pushed me to do the album was [BTS] members suggesting I try expressing my various thoughts and feelings into music. [… ] Even the word "face" can be used as a noun, or as a verb as in "to confront." I want to show my true face and speak to you honestly. For those who are used to seeing the glamorous side of me on stage, this album will show the other side of me, and show me overcoming my loneliness and struggles through music.”

This track introduces a rare and candid glimpse into Jimin’s unexposed wounds, and faces the deeper parts of himself that he wishes to forget.

Interlude: Dive
This track begins with reverse instrumentals of “Face-off” before launching into everyday sounds that churn up happy and sad memories. The dreamy and hypnotic intermission weaves in recordings of Jimin’s opening remarks from BTS’ Busan 2022 concert (Jimin’s home town), the roar of a sold-out crowd, and the sounds of more mundane aspects of life, like water/alcohol (not sure here) filling a glass and distant chatter in the background which were recorded by himself on his mobile phone.

Like Crazy
This main title track starts with a dialogue from one of Jimin’s favorite films starring Anton Yelchin and Jennifer Lawrence (after which the song is named) but the voices in the track are by voice actors. “I think we could last forever,” Lawrence says at the song’s start. “I’m afraid that everything will disappear,” Yelchin replies. Jimin uses this clip as a launch pad into lyrics about the painful realization of losing someone he loves, and refusing to wake up from that dream.

Alone
A soft and slower ballad that reveals Jimin’s fear of falling behind during the pandemic. It’s somehow comforting to know that even one of the world’s biggest sensations also feels, and can unapologetically express, this repetitive feeling of lack and loneliness.

Set Me Free Pt.2
Here he overcomes his internal battles and feels confident in newly-found freedom as he repeats lyrics like “Set me free” and “Finally free.” He also tells the critics to get lost while he enjoys this “prime time” revelation.

Letter (hidden track)
This track is only available on physical CD’s and is hidden inside the last track of the album. Like Crazy (English Version) on CD is 10 minutes long with Letter starting at 6:13 after minutes of silence. 6:13 (June 13th) is the day that BTS debuted. Jimin is credited for playing guitar on the track, JK credited for background vocals. Also, lyrics page for this hidden track ‘Letter’ (in the album’s photo book) looks like a blank page & the only way you can see the ‘invisible print’ on the page is if you hold it up to the light & turn it just so…it shines and shimmers.

yes jimin is an angel he is so sweet and all memebers with solo albums have a farewell song for army. Jin had the astronaut and J-hope on the street and now this. we still miss RM so i think he could have a song coming. he writes music all th time he was saying on weverse " as expected i enjoy music the most" for me it ment that he found his answer to the Pharrell conversation in september i think it was. RM said he was afraid that he has lost his passion for music. but Tablo and all of his friends we have seen interviews with say that RM and Suga talk about music all the time. they rarely talk anything else. you also saw it on suchwita with tablo. so i am really happy i want a happy passioned RM to make music for my soul hehe

2023-03-27 12:56:40 +0000 UTCArmy found out that jimin went to NY and a rumor was going around that he would be in the jimmy fallon show so fans took the chance and stood in line infront of the building for hours and even slept on the street. you can´t reserve a seat and no official statement about Jimin beeing there was made be there so fans just took a chance. i watched fans waiting outside and their reaction efter on twitter. it was grown woman not teenagers

After a few listens to the full album I'm obsess with Like crazy. I like equally both versions, even the remixes are pretty good. Letter is definitely of help for his not feeling sad after going through the whole album.

I mean he said that when he was feeling the most lost it was the members who really encouraged him to try to work through his feelings with this album.

I love seeing them go out of their comfort zone by trying something new! All of the boys have done that so far with their solo works and it sounds amazing. Letter reminded me of promise, it's a beautiful track! Hopefully sometime in your bts journey you can react to all the interviews and performances of bts on jimmy fallon. He's been great to them. The stages are incredible, even the 2018 ones were so good with the camera work.. "i'm fine" was captured beautifully and "idol" sounded awesome! Jimmy fallon even dedicated an entire week to bts which was a magical time.

I'm kind of bummed that it's a hidden track too because I really want to have a digital copy of it or at least be able to stream it. Between the timestamp of when the song starts and the fact that the BTS hidden track 'Sea' is referenced, as well as Spring Day, it's definitely a love letter; to Army (and I also believe in some way) the other BTS members. Maybe one day BigHit will release all of the BTS's hidden tracks and popular alternate versions of songs that were never made available. I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

With all the solo projects coming out, none of the guys have disappointed. Jimin did such an amazing job on this album.
