BTS vs Boybands

In this video we discuss and react to BTS vs Boybands. Heres part 2 https://streamable.com/xm0rwe

The one band they forgot to mention is Backstreet Boys. I like the Backstreet Boys, but around the same time as the Jonas Brothers came back together, Backstreet Boys came out with an album called DNA. Like 6 months after BTS DNA came out. That was a weak marketing ploy that failed. In all fairness Backstreet Boys have never disbanded and they’ve come out with music for over 20 years. But I was disappointed with that particular marketing ploy.

Thank you Jim Iknew you would lose your shit about what those bands where saying , the slander was unforgiverable I hit the roof when I first saw this. If any of my children spoke like that they would be in big trouble, luckly they love BTS and what they stand for.

Also, when I was in 7th grade, I was into New Kids on the Block. One day, I listened to all of their tapes (GenX) and I tallied all the times they used the words “girl” and “love” in their lyrics. As I watched those tally marks add up, I began to realize how boring their music actually was. While I still thought they were okay to vibe to, I moved on to music with more substance. I say all of this because this is what many Americans think of when they think of BTS. Stupid love songs made for hormonal teen girls. Have you noticed all the hip hop reactors who are on a Hobi love-fest now that they discovered him through JCole? If people stop to actually listen and learn, they get it.

For the last fucking time - Americans speak English! This guy is the worst! On another note, I need to figure out my Twitch notifications, because I never know when you are going live.

My username on Discord is: nalad81 A lot of the boy bands in the video had some big hits, but their popularity didn't last very long. And their music was pretty generic. The big American boy bands like: Boyz 2 Men, NSYC, BSB, and NKOTB, when interviewed, have had only good things to say about BTS. Most of the members of the groups have even been to BTS concerts. Liam Payne, a member of One Direction, said some not nice stuff about BTS as well, when he was trying to release his solo work, but he didn't go anywhere afterwards. Harry Styles and Niall Horan, both from One Direction who have had success as solo artists, have spoken about BTS and how good their music is. The ignorance in a lot of these statements shows what kind of people these "artists" are. They know who BTS is, All Time Rush knew who BTS was, but still made the statement of Jimin sounding like a girl. That's a common statement made by ignorant people, especially reactors. I have been a BTS fan since 2013, I have been around to see all the hate, xenophobia, racism that BTS has recieved over the years, but the boys have pushed themselves further along, and with that have made some music that touched every fan in some way. Making generic music, artists have shown they only last so long. BTS is a group of artists that either as a solo or a member, they bring their creativity to the forefront.

I purple ? Jimin

Looking forward to watching it after work. Thanks, Jim!
