To give some context to what RM was talking about at the beginning. 2015-2017 was a very difficult time for BTS. They mentioned it in their 2021 Festa dinner about how there were a lot of attacks during that time toward them and how they (and Army) were very hurt by everything happening those few years. 2015 and 2016 is when Korea started to really pay attention to BTS and they began to really, really gain fame at home. They started outselling groups no one ever expected them to outsell. They started winning awards that no groups outside of the Big 3 ever won. These groups and their fandoms didn’t take BTS’s growing success/popularity very well so in those two years, BTS was hit with some disgusting personal attacks which I won’t get into, and from a professional standpoint, there were constant accusations of plagiarism and chart manipulation made against them. Namjoon, because he was considered the main songwriter of the group (and also the leader) received a lot of criticism in that time. For songs he wrote for BTS, songs he wrote outside of BTS. It seemed like with every song there was a new accusation of some kind. People started referring to them as “Plagiarism Boys” online in South Korea. BigHit even had to go to court for the chart manipulation accusations (which cleared their name). It was a lot though. It was a lot for all the members. They wound up including the accusations in one of their Wings tour VCR’s, which I think was really vulnerable of them. But it was because of this time that Namjoon says here that he can no longer enjoy things the way he used to and that he became afraid of the stage. It’s why he mentions not being able to get online for the first day or so after they release music because he’s afraid to see the criticism. It was never constructive criticism they received though. It was always just a barrage of hate. Criticism I think Namjoon could take, but this was entirely something else and it clearly had a huge affect on him.

lol when you said witch guys playing instruments you are totally off. Jimin played violin in once but broke the string hehe. Jimin only playes a little piano and guitar. V is the one playing violin and trumpet. and also piano. he cant play base. JK was the one who could drum. RM can´t play anything at all at least not that w have seen

BTS has helped me a few times with my depression, so I understand. I'm glad my videos can bring you some happiness. :)

That's awesome! I would love to read it if you still have it and don't mind sharing.

My subject is about ambiguous grief and it’s important for me from a personal perspective. It’s a lot of work, someday are not easy too. RSo I’m happy to have BTS to turn to when I need comfort and joy. they are helping my mental health a lot. I’m glad that it’s there when I need I to take a break. Your reactions do it too so thanks 😊

I heard you mention about Army students in University at the end so imma share a little story. me being one of those army in university, I got to pick whatever topic to write an essay on last semester, and I chose to talk about how BTS's music and their fandom community is beneficial for mental health, especially during the pandemic when we couldn't physically see anyone. I mentioned a couple of their mental health songs such as magic shop and zero o'clock, and it was honestly the most fun I've ever had writing a paper in school (which I never thought would be possible to say lol) because I love them so much and have personal experience with how their music helped me :) <3

yesss! the best rags to riches story to ever exist! lol

I think the story of BTS could be one of the greatest coming of age novels ever written.
