"Record of RM : Indigo. From the colors of nature, human, etc. Documentation of my youth in the moment of independent phase. Sun-bleached record faded like old jeans" Described as a documentation or archive of the final years of RM’s twenties, Indigo is a 10 track album, 8 of which has feature appearances, with the lead single “Wild Flower”. Indigo recounts “stories and experiences [RM] has gone through, like a diary.”

“My hope is that people will feel comfortable and true to themselves while listening to the album,” RM says. “If this album or any of the songs within could give them a brief moment to think about their own lives and be happy, I would be very grateful.”

RM's “Indigo” debuts with 21,571,326 streams on the Spotify counter, the biggest album debut for a Korean soloist on the platform! And Indigo now holds the record as the most #1 album by Korean soloist on iTunes Worldwide in 2022 so far (total: 88 #1’s)

🐨 hello everyone i love, i’m sending greetings at the end of 2022.

Tomorrow, when it’ll be already 15 years since i’ve started music, and the last month of my 20s, my 1st album is set to release. though my mind is filled with complex thoughts. i’ve been thinking that all of my works, including my previous works, was so that i could release this one album first, thank you so much. Because I had the belief that many people noticed my trivial truth, I was able to become braver and truthful and blend the music and languages that were close to the current form of my heart.

I was truly very lucky. Honestly, I didn't start after deciding on a title track. To me, all the songs are really equal. in a time period where streaming is big, to release a 4 minute 33 second song that’s mostly in korean as the title song, is scary and makes me a bit perturbed, but it wasn’t a song that was meant to create hype or noise in the first place! like my id, rkive (archive), i think that it will be enough if it is recorded and bloomed in many people’s hearts/minds and continues to keep the same scent/fragrance as before even if time passes by.

You may have found it a bit strange that many people participated on my first solo album, this album is like an exhibition that curated myself. If you look at the harmony between me and them, you will be able to understand. every participant had their personal frequency/wavelength that was irreplaceable, where everyone was of number 1 importance!

Above all, in some way, I owe all of them a few minutes, hours, or even a ew months or years of my life. I have always wanted to become someone like that as well to someone else. i’ve already made and recorded a lot of content and as the release is approaching, i’m in the middle of drinking alone in a state of feeling perturbed and empty at home but as it was 10 years ago, i’m trying not to doubt that sincerity will be sincere, and that love will surely reach as love.

Though I didn’t plan/design it out from the very start like mono, like the description of ’10 Blues Included’, when I spread/laid them all out and looked at them, they were all beautiful and various/diverse shades of indigo that were hidden within me.

I request that you will please listen to them (songs) in order. I'm planning on opening/unfolding this album with various of my own content that I have thought of since long before. though it would be nice if everyone likes it, I'm trying to have a cool mind of thinking if not, what's there to do about it. I will meet you tomorrow, with confidence that you will like at least one of the ten blues.

I'm sending my old letter with the same expressions and gestures/motions, but a bit with more organized and imposing frequency/wavelength.

I would be grateful if you will receive it preciously. hoping that these songs will not be some reckless boldness, but the courage that you have given me.
