INFO FROM THE DREAM TEAM :

Stream Structure:

  1. Read what BTS has said about this situation
  2. Watch the Festa 2022 for the reaction
  3. Watch comforting videos from BTS (Jim to stop whenever tired)

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

  1. BTS’s reaction: after the video was aired, there was a translation error where it mentioned the word “Hiatus”. The media took this forward and started saying that BTS is disbanding. This caused chaos, therefore, BTS reacted accordingly by talking directly to ARMYs. Here is what the members said:
  2. Letter from V
  3. JK went on a Live stream for 1.5 hours to cheer armys up and clarify what has been mentioned in the media. He also chatted, sang, and even washed dishes :D. Here is the what he said about the situation:

JK: “I thought I needed to come here to set things straight. The bangtan team dinner was... meant to be this place where we can comfortably chat and everything. I promise you, we have absolutely no plan to disband. Bangtan Sonyeondan is forever. Anyway, I hope everyone understands... We are not disbanding and we are not stopping group promotions. I guess that's all there is to say on the matter. (he mentioned he'd seen all the news and chaos of "BTS is disbanding!!!" "they're not working as a group anymore!" and wanted to come reassure armys and clear things up)”

  1. Letter from RM

im reading comments on random posts and found this and i agree with Ophelia and mel bird hybe has little to no control over bts music. anything bts does musically is done by choice and bts making the decision themselves. the ads and merch could be a factor but again i dont think bts does things they dont want to do or wouldnt atleast speak up if it did bother them and i think bang pd would remove many things if it bothered them a lot. he may not be ceo but hes still chairman so he gets final say in many things. also yeah health can be a factor too i also think they may have slowed down to allow themselves breaks and plus with covid and all of them getting sick i heard your body may not be the same as pre covid even once youre fully healed. like how jk said he was out of breath more than usual even though he didnt have covid anymore. hopefully theyll tell us if anythings wrong id rather they stop dancing so hard if its really harmful. seeing them collapsing gave me mixed feelings like i love that theyre that dedicated and passionate of their performances but i wish they didnt get to that point but itll always be their choice no matter what army says theyll still do what they want to do.

im glad you watched this live but chat was annoying me cause they keep giving you wrong information. bts was living in dorms until they filmed this festa but theyve all had their own places since maybe 2019 or maybe 2020 since many of them posted photos separate from each other during quarantine. but they did live in the dorm together too not "just for promotions" like chat was saying. also vlives are done wherever and whenever they want. the only time theyre "monitored" by bighit staff is during group lives due to them going live for a specific reasons like celebrating winning a award which staff is recording for a bangtan bomb too or if theyre very close to releasing something staff would sit in so they dont spoil anything cause the guys spoil a lot of things when theyre on their own vlives its very funny. but when you see solo vlives like jungkooks recent one in his apartment he was alone no one was with him. or if you see a vlive of rm or suga or jhope in their studios theyre alone no ones with them. sometimes the guys would feel awkward so they may ask for staff to be there too but majority of the time its when they feel like going live they just click the button same way you do :)

Now that I took a week to process. Try to gain a better understanding of the rest they need and deserve. Watching the comeback live shows and the desert show over and over again. It's like I can't get enough especially the cute dance in For Youth. One day to mourn I don't know what for... change I guess. JK's Vlive (adorable). Heart pain at watching them cry especially RM. It was much better watching it for the 2nd time with you Jim. Also the editors cut even more out like this time.

The English tracks were also the first ones that received a full push by Columbia Records, because the CEO likely brought this to them & had producer credits which he & team never had on their Korean tracks. It’s notable that Bighit didn’t renew their distribution label with Columbia & instead went with UMG after PDT’s release. It’s an ARMY joke that Life Goes On didn’t even get 6 radio streams in the U.S. on its first day of release, even after the success of Dynamite, while under CR whereas Yet To Come received over 5,000 upon impact day under UMG. There’s so much we don’t know & may likely never know. But people with connections within the industry will always try to take advantage where they can. Jin said in lives even a couple years ago when they were probably discussing Proof & Chapter 2 that Bighit is a good company. So while we won’t know every detail, it’s nice to see that the their company has supported them in this shift of direction. It shows that they are confident in the members independently as much as they are confident in them as a group. Supporting them in the decision to not release CD3 for streaming is costly. Supporting them in taking a much deserved & necessary break & letting the guys take the lead in how that information is shared with ARMY is a risk. But they chose to support these decisions… I can’t ignore that either.

PS: I'm more worried about their healt, because lately they were reducing the difficulty of their choreo and joking about their age and the fact that they get tired more easily and I think a part of this can be because some of them have something that stop them to perform too hard. I don't want to speculate too much on this of corse, it seems wrong to do this, but if we think on the fact that SUGA had a surgery for his shoulder and he hid the pain for so many years waiting for the best timing to get surgery, I can totally see them hide something like this to us. I also remember BURN THE STAGE, where we watched BTS with oxigen or Jimin with medical staff saying that the pain he feel in his leg everytime he perform will never go away if he continue this lifestyle, dancing so hard and performing hard choreos. We see just the performance, but BTS repeat the choreo many times for releasing and practicing. We just see the final product, but the preparation for their perfection I bet is tiring and dangerous. I don't know, maybe I'm just overly worried, but lately they're giving us too many spoils about the fact that they can't keep up with some choreo, that I started thinking there's some serious issue behind them slowing down and taking a step back from group activities

mel bird

But BTS said that everytime they start a new music project is never the label alone choosing their path, but it's them sitting on a table with Bang PD and their producer, choosing what direction they want to take. I agree on the fact that last english singles of BTS weren't their style (namjoon said this too), but I don't think they were forced to do any of those songs. As Namjoon said, those songs were an opportunity that arrived from outside the company (american singers and producers reaching to them to give them a song) and since there was covid and their plans were cancelled and didn't know what to do, at that time maybe they accepted the songs as a challenge not intended to last this long, but regret it later because it makes them loose their direction since they gained public recognition through those pop songs that wasn't their style and they couldn't just take a step back at this point, with grammy and everything was happening. I don't think agency ever forced them doing music they don't want, at least everytime BTS talked about the process behind albums it seems more like a mutual agreement on what to do and what direction to take. I agree that since they're under HYBE things changed A LOT, I noticed they used too much BTS for economy (selling merchandise and launching their company products) and this affected for sure their schedule. They were so busy recording advertising and selling merch (and I don't think BTS never liked this part of their jobs, but since they are shareholders we support everything they sporsor of corsue), and didn't have much time left to do music. I'm not against the possibility that they don't like some changes HYBE made about the management of their group (we can't know for sure), but I don't think the music part was ever forced on them, I can't really picture this if Bang PD is still taking part in their meetings, because he always was about letting BTS talk about what they want in their music. But maybe they're not happy about the fact that their schedule lately was more about selling stuff then doing music.

mel bird

I definitely disagree with this. BTS talk a LOT about their label and the people in it. Those are the people they are very close friends with and talk to about like they are family. They are BigHit, not HYBE. HYBE itself is kinda iffy, but HYBE has no say over BigHit. That's what Bang PD made sure happened before he stepped down as CEO, that BTS and TXT were separated from any control from HYBE. I think it was expectations in general. I mean even ARMY pushed hard for Grammys and they gained SO many more fans with Dynamite and Butter. I mean we know how much they struggle with trying to please ARMY. I don't think they were being forced or pushed to do any of this by the label in particular, but more by the fans, media, etc. And BTS said they were planning on a break already after MOTS:7, but waited because they didn't want to during the pandemic. So they decided wayyy before they started doing anything with English music. Let's not assume things too much, and listen to what they said themselves.

Ophelia

hey Jim, I've been with you since the beginning of your BTS journey, but I don't really comment much on videos or in chat. I just watched this video that had an interesting perspective on this year's Festa dinner and the Yet to come M/V and though it would be interesting to see your perspective on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uzc886bX29w

If I have my info correctly, V originally made “Blue & Grey” for his mixtape (which likely now will be made into an album). A snippet was revealed in…. I think it was “In The Soop”.

Finally you were able to watch ARMY’s favourite performances, TINY DESK was what made ARMY and ROOM LIVE was my first FESTA. I had no idea that a medley video could make me so happy. Now you can say that you’re cought up, you can’t be army not knowing about this. 😍
