When they say they're 17 or 20, that's their Korean age. Their international age is usually 1-2 years below that, depending on when their birthday lands. Jungkook's birthday is September 1, 1997. So, in that radio interview, Jungkook was probably more like 15-16.

Just regarding the question about Pretty Woman - they look at it as an empowerment song cause the pretty woman in question doesn't NEED him to have a fulfilling life... she can be a pretty woman without him.... I'm really enjoying your content and the way you have approached your journey.... Thank you so much for sharing with us.... fun fact: speaking of jungkook’s life motto “I’d rather die than live without passion”, he now has an entire tattoo sleeve, and one of the tattoos say “rather be dead than cool”. (Which is ironic bc he is seriously one of the coolest people walking this planet imo. Seriously, jungkook these days 👀 he has really grown up and into himself, he is the coolest )

Great reaction Jim. Just a note and to be clear in the rise of bangtan video when they showed what trainees go through then went to BTS they were comparing the training process FROM Big Hits. So the Kpop artists that said they had certain schedules and diets and certain lifestyle that was tough, those were from the BIG companies. WHILE Big hit and bang PD allowed the boys to live their own lives without the rules that the larger companies have and create their own sound which is what's so special about the company. Yes they were dieting but that's not because the company told them to, that was their own choice. So the video was comparing how JYP SM YG treated their idols while showing the difference with big hit.

Hi Jim! Thank you for doing this. Glad you have people helping you navigate through BTS content. I’m baby army myself (discovered them Sep 2020) and I had a friend make me a playlist. There’s actually a sort of BTS starter guide, fan made, a PDF doc that explains the different contents. A cheat sheet essentially. Haha. They have soo much so you really need help from veteran army to guide you coz it’s so easy to get lost 😅 Just a note, Rise of Bangtan creators indicate the date of the vlogs or performances. 2013 is your magic number. They debuted June 2013 so if you want to check how early/far into their career the vlog or stage is, just note that. :) Sorry you’re in youtube jail, hope that gets resolved soon.
